Üçüncü teklik şahıs iyelik eki ve yükleme hâli, Türk gramerinin temel sorunlarından biridir. İyelik ekiyle hâl ekleri arasında kullanılan n ünsüzü, tarihî metinlerde bazen doğrudan iyelik eki üzerinde de görülmektedir. Üçüncü teklik şahıs iyelik eki ve yükleme hâlinin şekli, bu ünsüzün göreviyle bağlantılı olarak tartışma konusu olmuştur. Sorunun çözümüne katkıda bulunmak amacıyla önemli tarihî metinlerden biri olan Dede Korkut Kitabında +(s)In eki almış isimleri inceledik. Özellikle manzum parçalarda tespit ettiğimiz örneklerin çoğu geçişli fiillerle kullanılmış ve belirli nesne durumundadır. Ek bu hâliyle üçüncü teklik şahıs iyelik eki görünümündedir.
The third person possesive-accusative suffix is one of the main problems of Turkish grammar. A consonant e.g. /n/ there is used between the possesive suffixes and case ending can be directly attached to possessive suffixes especially in the historical texts. The last mentioned form of the third person possesive and accusative suffix has been argued regarding the consonant function in Turcology for a long time. The proposal of this study is to solve the problem by examining nouns that take on suffix the +(s)In in the Dede Qorqut. The majority samples that I collected from Dede Qorqut are being used with transitive verbs and direct object especially in the verses. It seems that this form of the suffix functions as the third person possisive suffix.
