Divan Edebiyatı nazım, nazım-nesir karışık veya nesir ile yazılmış eserlerden oluşur. Bu edebiyatın şiir ile nesir arasında örneklerinden biri de bahr-ı tavîldir. Bu çalışmada, bir mecmuada yer alan ve XV. yüzyıl şairi Ahmet Paşa adına kayıtlı bahr-ı tavîlin Anadolu sahasındaki ilk örneği olduğu sürülmektedir. Bir başka mecmuada da XV. yüzyılda Abdülalî tarafından yazılan bahr-ı tavîlin de Fars diliyle kaleme alınmış bahr-ı tavîllerin ilk örneklerinden birisi olduğu iddia edilmektedir.
Divan literature consists of works that are in verse, prose or both in verse and prose. An example of the mixed kind with both prose and verse is “Bahr-i Tavîl”. In this article, it is claimed that a Bahr-i Tavîl which exists in a journal recorded as a work of Ahmet Pasha (15th century poet) is the first example in the field of old Anatolian Turkish. Furhermore, it is asserted that a Bahr-i Tavîl that takes place in another journal and was written by Abdülalî in the 15th century is one of the first examples of this kind in Persian language.
