Ölen kişilerin mirasçılarına bıraktıkları menkul ve gayrimenkulleri içeren tereke kayıtları, sosyal ve ekonomik tarih bakımından önemlidirler. Bu araştırmada; Harput'ta yaşamış ve varlıklı bir kişi olarak bilinen Hacı Osman'ın 1725 tarihinde Harput Şer'iyye Sicili'ne kaydedilmiş olan tereke kaydı incelenmiştir. Tereke kaydından hareketle, Harput'ta yaşayan varlıklı bir Türk efendisinin evi ve sosyal hayatı hakkında bilgiler verilmiştir
Tereke records, which are the movable and immovable properties of the dead person left to his or her heritage, are important for social and economic history. In this study Hadji Osman’s who lived in Harput and known as wealthier person, tereke records’ recorded on Şer’iyye register were examined. Based on the tereke records of the wealthier Turkish master who lived in Harput, information was given about his house and social life.
