In Turkey, camels and camel breeding have a central place in the life of nomadic tribes. However, this way of life, which can be called as traditional, has to face a great change and transformation. Because of advancement of industrialization and technological tools, which are part of modern life, make human life easier in migratory life. As a result of that all traditional structures are also transformed. Just taking the technology and not getting the culture is not possible in the nomadic life. In this study, when it comes to modern times, it is tried to deal with how camel breeding and the culture of camel wrestling has changed and transformed from traditional to modern. In this respect, the data of this study are based on the fieldwork carried out in different times between the years 2015-2017. The fieldwork encompasses the nomad tribes living around Mersin, Konya and Karaman and people dealing with camel wrestling and camel breeding in the cities such as Antalya, Muğla, Denizli, Manisa, Aydın, İzmir, Balıkesir and Çanakkale. Within this framework, a number of rituals related to culture of camel wrestling and camel breeding, and migration to the highlands were also observed. Data and information collected through this observations and fieldwork.
