This study was conducted in an attempt to evaluate the codependency of women in the Turkish society and examine the relationship between this dependence and some demographic variables. In order to conduct the study, we determined 180 women registered to Women’s Education and Culture centers of Altındağ Municipality in Ankara Province Altındağ District, based on voluntariness. Women were selected for the study from the population without anthology. Spann- Fischer Codependency Scale and personal information form, which was developed by the researchers and involved demographic variables, were used as data collection tools. Women that participated in our study were aged between 18 and 55. It is observed that there is no significant difference between the codependency levels of women, in terms of age range (F =1.342, p>0.05); educational level (F =1.374, p>0.05); year of marriage (F =1.448, p>0.05); number of children (F =1.709, p>0.05) and social security (F =1.122, p>0.05). However, there is a significant difference between the codependency levels of women, in terms of marital status ( F =3.493, p<0.05); housemates ( F =2.986, p<0.05); level of income (F =3.082, p<0.05) and working condition ( t= -1.998, p<0.05). It was determined that the average scores obtained by non-working women from the SFCS ( x =55.47) were higher than that of working women ( x =50.22). As a result of our study, it was determined that women had moderate and higher levels of codependency. It is required to inform women about the possible negative effects of codependency in their lives, as well as their solutions in order to heal their mental health that is affected by codependency and enable them to be involved in society as independent i
