The most important thing separating objects is their names. Name is the meaning of word to help telling, defining, reporting anyone or anything. Naming is to give a name to a living, a place, a thing to call or mention. Plato who emphasizes the importance of toponmy by saying “losing its name, the object loses its essence, too.” is the first person to give importance to toponmy science. While Platon says essence of object, he expresses the first meaning of the object, the first form of the object. These given names are definitely literary document or historical sources. These given names are definitely literary document or historical sources. Place names, the symbols of the places in which we live, are the counterpart of semiotics. So, the existence of place names gives meaning, makes visible the environments which we are in or we have never seen before and provides getting along with nature. To place names; we need to look valuable knowledge which provides us integrate with the environment in which we live and presents the distinguishing figure of the environment. Looking place names only with scientific aspect will not be true. Place names, of course, aren’t only counterpart of concrete works, natural creatures. They are semiological elements which cultural structure finds place, ideological structuring is devised, present management makes dispositions, linguistic and regional identities come into excistence, special people’s names are moved to the future, first Allah (Surat Al-Baqarah, 31. Verse) and then human being composes with his own hand.
