In the poetry adventure continuing from ancient times to date, the poet’s characteristic that has never changed is his creativeness glorified all the time. However, creativity criteria may vary in the period. The first description of Poetry and Poet reaches to Poetics of Greek philosopher Aristotle, who has an understanding close to modern literary theory and has performed the first systematic study on the literature principles functioning and organization based on perceptible data. The most important aspect of Poetics in terms of the subject of this study is the description of the poetry language as a specific area of language and classification of the functional elements of this structure. However, poetry elements, which have become a tradition in historical process with changing sense and expectation of art due to many reasons, were needed to be reviewed again and caused the pursuit of novelty in 20th century. The opposition to the tradition and pursuit of novelty have led us to find intersection point between Russian futurism and the “Garip” movement in Turkish poetry, although they are not sequent or affected by each other. Shershenevich and Orhan Veli, explained their opposition to the accepted and stereotype attitudes towards poetry for years like vocabulary, rhyme and meter and rhetorical devices in their poetry as well as their poetic knowledge by giving justifications. While reviewing the characteristics of poetry, Russian futurist supported the tendency to neologism, and Garip poets supported the tendency to simplified language, the target language that new poetry conception is addressed. While discussing three different authors’ three common and different point of views, in poetic text that we have studied by giving examples from 20th century Russian and Turkish poetries, it was found out that the idea, which the poetry is valuable as regards its compliance with specific forms for years, has not been accepted.
