The comparison method is an important method that sets forth the similarities and differences between the people and the objects and is used frequently within the Daily life. The literature study carried out by using this method is called Comparative Literature. This article covers a comparative research on Nasreddin Hodja and Till Eulenspiegel. As is known to all, Nasreddin Hodja and Till Eulenspiegel are the humour masters brought up by Turkish and German community, respectively. Both humor masters reflected the cultural sensitivity and wittiness of the country they are living on in their jokes. There are different interpretations on whether they really existed or not. There are quite a number of people who think them as fictional characters and some who think they really lived. Nasreddin Hodja has been a symbol of love, peace and understanding that extended to the whole world from Anatolia. They were called with different names in different geographical areas. Nasreddin Hodja and Till Eulenspiegel were not only loved by the people of the country they belonged to but acknowledged and loved in other geographies as well. These folk heroes have been a kind of instructors for their communities. While Nasreddin Hodja has represented the point of view, sensitivity, values system and the belief of the Anatolian people, Tıll Eulenspiegel has represented the point of view, sensitivity, values system and the belief of the German Community he belonged to and represented. Humor that joined them on the way that moves from nationalism to universalism is a paramount art that will join all the world people on the same way. These folk heroes that continue to make people smile and think even after their death are forming the resources of the new and nice works.
