Observations on “colors” categories according to Turkish and Arabic Dictionary Base

This study is composed in accordance with general principles of lexicography in the context of the concept hierarchy. It has been prepared for finding out the potential of the methods of the concept formation and lexicalization of the color concepts of the Arabic and Turkish language. The database obtained from the Arabic and Turkish dictionary contains assessments and comparisons on “colors”categories. This database, being tabulated, has been qualitatively and quantitatively evaluated in the context of concept hierarchy.
