Armenian Policy of France Treaty of Berlin To 1st World War According To Ottoman Documents


France has been the leading country that has supported Armenians in Armenian case that occurred after Treaty of Berlin. France urged Ottoman Empire to make it fulfill the 61st item of Treaty of Berlin that required to be performed the reforms that local needs of Armenians in their residential district because of the troubles caused by Armenians. Some French officials that worked in Ottoman Empire supported and encouraged rebellious Armenians. However French statesmen didn’t lean towards an independent Armenia project, they just planned to manipulate Armenians for their benefits.
