The Modernist’s Overview Of Divan Literature In The Light Of Diyorlar Ki

Ruşen Eşref sÜnaydın interviewed his contemporary 18 foremost literary in a conversational style old and modern Turkish literature, which he published as a collection titled Diyorlar ki in 1908. The book, which was first of its kinds, aroused significant interest. This study aims at scrutinizing views and conceptions dealing with classical Ottoman poetry of the literary whom Ruşen eşref interviewed and of the literary in the process of westernization which was initiated with Tanzimat.
