7th Grade Social Studies Learning Area Culture and Heritage Journey to the Turkish History Unit of the concepts learned in the last level of students


The aim of this study was 7th grade social studies learning area Culture and Heritage Historic Journey to Turkey and to the students to gain the targeted unit on the extent of the concepts that are put forward . Participants in the academic year 2013-2014 a total of three schools in the central district of Adiyaman 179, Kahler and Gerger district in the county from 80 to 80 from a total of 259 seventh grade students from five schools consist of . Scanning of the model used in the study primary data collection tool in the 7th grade social studies textbook ( MOE, 2013 ) Culture and Heritage area of learning Turkish History Journey to the unit the students to gain targeted concepts involving the students' concept of the meaning of a short written answers, as they can give arranged questionnaire was used . Students assessing their responses to the concepts in the form of textbooks remarks made about the concept of the Great Turkish Dictionary of single (TDK , 2009) remarks were taken into consideration . Answers given by students ; correct understanding of the concept , and have been classified as misconceptions , and missed taking frequency and percentage values are interpreted by setting the tables . The results of research in the social sciences Grade 7 Culture and Heritage area of learning Turkish History Journey to the unit said , and with this unit given to the students to be 21 concepts by students toward understanding the mean rate of 23.2% in the unit last 21 concept for explaining the misconceptions of students average rate of 58% , 4 and the concepts in the unit if left unanswered average rate is 18.3% . According to the results gained by students in the unit of Turkish History Journey to the correct understanding of the concept of the targeted rate is quite low.
