A Study of the Problem of Intricate Sentence

When dealing with the question of whether one should evaluate sentences based on verbalnoun as part of a simple sentence or as a compound sentence linguists have taken different approaches. These differences arise from the question: do verbalnoun form a subordinate clause or not? As is known verbalnoun bear both characteristics that are specific to verbs and characteristics that are specific to nouns. Or in other words: while verbalnoun continue to have features specific to a verb within a sentence they complete a predicate from different angles such as noun, adjective and adverb and can take suffixes like possessive and conditional suffixes, which the noun can also take. Thus these specifics of verbalnoun have become the reason why linguists take different approaches concerning the structure of sentences based on verbals. While engaging with this topic I shall attempt to categorise the different results by examining these different views and evaluations.
