Vatandaşı olduğu ülkeden çeşitli nedenlerle ayrılan veya ayrılmak zorunda bırakılan, yaşamları hakkında endişe duyan ve bu nedenle ülkesine geri dönemeyen kişiler mülteci olarak ifade edilmektedir. Sığınmacılar ise, uluslararası koruma haklarından yararlanmak isteyen ancak statüleri henüz resmi olarak tanınmamış kişilerdir. Birçok küresel sorunun yaşandığı günümüzde mültecilerin yaşamları, hayata tutunma mücadeleleri, sağlık, güvenlik ve eğitim gibi temel insan hakları güncelliğini koruyan ve tartışılan konular arasında yerini almıştır. Bu çalışma, Türkiye’de mülteci ve sığınmacı kadınlar ile ilgili yazılmış lisansüstü tezlerin incelenmesi amacıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışmada, mülteci ve sığınmacı kadınlar ile ilgili YÖK Ulusal Tez Merkezinde 79 lisansüstü tezin bulunduğu tespit edilmiştir. Bu çalışmada ele alınan lisansüstü tezler, yazıldığı yıla, konularına, tezlerin türüne, yöntemine ve kullanılan veri toplama araçlarına göre incelenmiştir. Çalışma, nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden betimsel analiz kapsamında gerçekleştirilmiştir. Elde edilen bulgular yüzde ve frekans olarak tablolarla sunulmuştur. Çalışma bulgularına göre konu ile ilgili yazılan lisansüstü tezlerin sayısının son beş yılda arttığı görülmüştür. Tezlerin en çok sosyoloji, sağlık, sosyal hizmetler ve psikoloji alanlarında yazıldığı tespit edilmiştir. Tezlerde en çok sosyal entegrasyon, ruh sağlığı, toplumsal cinsiyet ve kadının rolü konularına yer verilmiştir. Tezlerin en çok yüksek lisans tezinden oluştuğu ve çoğunluğunda nitel araştırma yöntemine ve görüşme tekniğine yer verildiği görülmüştür. Bu çalışmada, mülteci ve sığınmacı kadınların güvenliği, istihdamı, yetişkin eğitimleri ve aile eğitimleri gibi konularda yazılan tez sayısının yetersiz olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

Refugees are defined as people who have left or were forced to leave their country of origin for various reasons, who are worried about their lives and cannot return to their country for this reason. Asylum seekers, on the other hand, are people who want to benefit from their international protection rights but whose status has not yet been officially recognized. In today's world where many global problems are experienced, the lives of refugees, their struggle to hold on to life, basic human rights such as health, security and education have taken their place among the issues that are kept up-to-date and discussed. This study was carried out to examine the postgraduate theses written about refugee and asylum seeker women in Turkey. In the study, it was determined that there were 79 postgraduate theses in the National Thesis Center of CoHe on refugee and asylum seeker women. The postgraduate theses discussed in this study were examined according to the year they were written in, their subjects, the type and method of the theses, and the data collection tools used. The study was carried out within the scope of descriptive analysis, one of the qualitative research methods. Obtained findings are presented in tables as percentage and frequency. According to the findings of the study, it has been observed that the number of postgraduate theses written on the subject has increased in the last five years. It has been determined that theses are mostly written in the fields of sociology, health, social services and psychology. Social integration, mental health, social gender, and the role of women issues were mostly included in the theses. It has been seen that the theses mostly consist of master's thesis and the majority of them include qualitative research method and interview technique. In this study, it has been concluded that the number of theses written on subjects such as refugee and asylum seeking women's security, employment, adult education and family education is insufficient.
