Çalışmamızın amacını 2019 rafting dünya şampiyonasına katılan sporcuların sporcu kimlik düzeylerinin bazı değişkenler açısından incelenmesi oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmanın evrenini 2019 dünya rafting şampiyonasına katılan sporcular oluştururken, örneklemini ise 2019 dünya rafting şampiyonasına katılan 64'ü erkek 36'sı kadın olmak üzere 100 sporcu oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmaya katılan deneklerin demografik bilgilerini belirlemek amacıyla kişisel bilgi formu ve Breser ve Cornelius (2001) tarafından geliştirilen ve Öztürk ve Koca (2013) tarafından Türkçeleştirilen Sporcu Kimlik Ölçeği formu kullanılmıştır. Ölçek 7 madde ve 3 alt boyuttan oluşmaktadır. Alt boyutlar sosyal kimlik alt boyutu, sporla sınırlanmışlık alt boyutu ve olumsuz duyuşsallık alt boyutudur. Değişkenlerin frekans (f) ve yüzde (%) dağılımları hesaplanmış ve Mann-Whitney testi, Kruskal Wallis testi ve t-testinden faydalanılmıştır. Çalışmada hata düzeyi p<0,05 olarak alınmıştır. Çalışma bulguları doğrultusunda 2019 rafting dünya şampiyonasına katılan sporcuların sporcu kimlik ölçeği alt boyut puanlarına bakıldığında, sosyal klinik alt boyutu puan ortalamasının 5,68, sporla sınırlanmışlık alt boyutu puan ortalamasının 5,57 ve olumsuz duyuşsallık alt boyutu ortalamasının 5,63 ortalama ile tüm alt boyutlarda ortalamanın üzerinde olduğu ve sporcu kimlik algısı düzeylerinin yüksek olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Sporcu kimlik algısı ölçeği toplam puanın ise 5,64 ortalama ile sporcu kimlik algısı düzeylerinin yüksek olduğu görülmektedir. Yarışmaya katılan sporcuların sporcu kimlik algı düzeylerinin yüksek olması milli sporcu düzeyinde olmaları ve ülkelerinin en iyi sporcularından oluşmasından kaynaklı olduğu söylenilebilir.

The aim of our study is to examine the athlete's identity levels in terms of certain variables of the athletes participating in the 2019 rafting world championships. The universe of the study consists of athletes participating in the 2019 world rafting championships, while the sample consists of 100 athletes, including 64 males and 36 females, who participated in the 2019 world rafting championships. The Personal Information Form and the Scale of Sports Identity, developed by Breser and Cornelius (2001) and adapted to Turkish by Öztürk and Koca (2013), were used to determine the demographic information of the subjects participating in the research. Sub-dimensions are the sub-size of social identity, the sub-dimension of the sport, and the sub-dimension of negative affective. Mann-whitney test, Kruskal Wallis test and t-test were used. The error level in the study was accepted as p <0.05. According to the study findings, when we looked at the athlete identity scale sub-dimension scores of the athletes participating in the 2019 rafting world championships, it was determined that the social clinical sub-dimension score average was 5.68, the sports limitable sub-dimension score average was 5.57, and the average of the negative affectivity sub-dimension was above the average in all sub-dimensions with an average of 5.63, and athlete identity perception levels were high. The total score of the athlete identity perception scale is 5.64 and the athlete identity perception levels are high. It can be said that the athletes participating in the competition have a high level of athlete identity due to being at the national athlete level and being one of the best athletes in their country.
