Nicel karar verme konusunda en temel bir disiplin olan yöneylem araştırması eğitimi, ülkelerin gelişmesine ve rekabet avantajı kazanmasına pozitif etki yapabilme özelliğindedir. Son yıllarda İşletme Fakültesi ve İktisadi İdari Bilimler fakültesine gelen öğrencilerin sayısal yeteneklerindeki düşüş öğrencilerin sayısal derslerden olan yöneylem araştırması dersine olan yaklaşımlarına olumsuz yansıyabilmektedir. Bu çalışmada, 2018-2019 eğitim-öğretim yılı bahar döneminde yöneylem dersi alan Düzce Üniversitesi İşletme Fakültesi İşletme bölümü öğrencileri ile Yönetim Bilişim Sistemleri bölümü öğrencilerinin yöneylem dersi açısından tutumları incelenmiştir. Ayrıca, bu iki bölümün derse yönelik tutumları karşılaştırılmakla beraber, cinsiyet, dersi tekrar alma durumu, mezun oldukları lise ve bulundukları sınıfın tutumlarıyla ilişkisi araştırılmıştır. Bu çerçevede, 179 işletme öğrencisi ve 117 yönetim bilişim sistemleri öğrencisi olmak üzere toplam 296 öğrenciye anket uygulanıp, 232 adeti değerlendirmeye uygun bulunmuştur. Elde edilen veriler, SPSS 22 paket programıyla frekans analizi, tek yönlü varyans analizi (ANOVA), faktör analizi ve bağımsız iki örneklem t-testiyle analiz edilmiştir Araştırma sonucundaki, yöneylem araştırması dersine yönelik yapılan faktör analizi sonucu tutumu açıklayan dört temel boyut edilmiştir. Öte yandan, bulgular bu iki bölüm öğrencilerinin yöneylem dersine yönelik tutumları arasında bazı noktalardan farklılık olduğunu ortaya koymuştur. Ayrıca, yöneylem dersine karşı olan tutumun daha çok olumsuz yönde olduğunu ortaya koymaktadır. Bu nedenle, işletme fakültesinde okuyan öğrencilerin sayısal derslerden olan yöneylem dersine yönelik tutumlarının iyileştirilmesinin ilerde çeşitli operasyonel ağırlıklı işletmelerde çalışacak öğrenciler için önem arz ettiği söylenebilir.

Operational research education, which is the most basic discipline in quantitative decision making, has a positive effect on the development of countries and providing competitive advantage to them. In recent years, declining of numerical abilities of the students who enroll in the Faculty of Business Administration and the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences can affect their approach negatively to the operations research course from the numerical courses. In this study, the attitudes of students of Department of Business Administration and Department of Management Information Systems in Faculty of Business Administration in Düzce University in the spring semester of 2018-2019 academic year are examined. In addition, the attitudes of these two departments towards the course are compared and the relations of gender, repetition, high school and the class level of the students to the course are investigated. In this context, a total of 296 survey are distributed to the students (179 business administration and 117 management information systems) and 232 of them are found suitable for evaluation. The data are analyzed with SPSS 22 software program are used and, frequency analysis, factor analysis and two independent sample t-tests, one way variance analysis (ANOVA) are performed. As a result of the factor analysis of operations research,attitude scale, four basic dimensions are obatained On the other hand,. the findings of the research revealed that there are some differences between these two department students’ attitude towards the operation research course. Furthermore, it shows that the attitude towards the operation reserach course is sligthly negative. For this reason, it can be claim that improving the attitudes of the students of the faculty of business towards the operation reserach course, which is one of the quantitative courses, is important for the students who will work in various operational weighted enterprises in the future.
