While Prophet Muhammad was alive, Muslims generally acted according to his orders or decisions and tried to solve the problems they faced in the direction of his ideas and recommendations. But soon after his death, Islamic society fell into a great emptiness and had to experience a life without it. The decisions taken by Caliph Abu Bakr, who had to assume the duty of caliphate in order to overcome the trauma experienced in this process and the applications he applied, became an important guide. Abu Bakr’s caliphate years are a very sensitive period since it is a period of great troubles for the Islamic society. In this period, the society and the state came to the brink of fragmentation with the debates on the one hand and the liaison and rebellion movements on the other. However, thanks to his calm and determined attitude, all the problems experienced were overcome without any problem and the unity and integrity of both the society and the state were ensured. Caliph Abu Bakr, who became the head of the caliphate institution after Prophet Muhammad, became the sole authority to govern the state as the new leader of the Muslims, and it was an important example for both the caliphs after him and the Muslim rulers of all times. Considering that this important period of Islamic history and its subsequent periods will contribute to a better understanding, in this study, the state administration during its caliphate period will be discussed from administrative, financial and military aspects.
