Sosyal hizmet; “biyo-psiko-sosyal varlık” olan insanın insan hakları bağlamında iyilik halinin geliştirilmesine odaklanan uygulamalı bir disiplindir. Eklektik yaklaşımlı bir meslek olarak sosyal hizmet; eko-sistem bağlamında yaşam süren insan ve toplumların mikro, mezzo ve makro-düzey sosyal değişimlerini dikkate alarak sorun çözme ve koruyucu önleyici yaklaşıma odaklanır. Son yüzyılın hızlı sanayileşme, teknoloji ve buna bağlı ekonomik gelişmeler insan yaşamını kolaylaştırırken sosyal yaşama ilişkin olumsuzlukları da beraberinde getirmiştir. Sosyal hizmet kuramlarının bu paralelde endüstrileşmesine, insanın ekonomik, teknolojik ve dijitalleşmenin temel çıkarları doğrultusunda araçsallaştırılıp değersizleştirilmesine yol açmıştır. Oldukça kutsal sayılan sosyal hizmet mesleği “Sosyal Bakım” paradigmaları üzerinden anlamlandırmaya çalışılırken sosyal kavramların insana ilişkin değerlerden yoksunlaştırıldığı, bu bağlamda insan ve topluma yönelik hizmet sunan liyakatli uzman kişilerin “Sosyal Çalışmacı” kavramı içerisinde zoraki bir tanımlama ile karşı karşıya bırakıldıkları gözlemlenmektedir. Dolayısıyla bu araştırma; gerek uluslararası ve gerekse yerel sosyal hizmet kuramlarının insan hakları bağlamında dikkate alınmasını ve sosyal teorilerin, her toplumun kendi dini-manevi, kültürel ve ahlâki değerlerin insanın faydasına yönelik kendi değer kodları üzerinden revize edilmesinin gerekliliğine dikkat çekerek çözüm önerileri sunmayı amaçlamaktadır. Bu çalışmada, günümüz sosyal hizmet mesleğinin temellerini oluşturan “Sosyal Çalışmacı” ve “Bakım” kavramlarının teorik arka planları söylem analizi yöntemi üzerinden değerlendirilmiş, bu bağlamda sosyal hizmet eklektik (teori-pratik) uygulamaların eko-sistem perspektifinde incelenerek değerlendirilmesi yapılmıştır.

Social work is an applied discipline that focuses on the development of well-being in the context of the human rights of the person who is a “biyo-psycho-social being". Social work as a profession with an eclectic approach focuses on problem-solving, taking into account the micro, mezzo, and macro-level social changes of people and societies living in the context of the eco-system. The rapid industrialization, industrialization, technology and related economic developments of the last century have facilitated human life and brought negativity related to social life. This parallel industrialization of social work theories has led to the instrumentalization and devaluation of people in line with the basic interests of economy, technology, and digitalization.  While trying to make sense of the social work profession, which is considered quite sacred, through the “Social Care” paradigms, it is observed that social concepts are deprived of human values, and in this context, qualified specialists who provide services to people and society are faced with a forced definition within the concept of "Social Worker". Therefore, this research; aims to offer solutions by drawing attention to the need to consider local social work theories in the context of human rights and to revise social theories, religious-spiritual, cultural, and moral values of each society, through their own value codes for the benefit of people. In this study, the theoretical backgrounds of the terms “Social Worker” and “Care”, which constitute the foundations of today's social work profession, were evaluated through discourse analysis, and in this context of the eclectic (theory-practical) applications of social work were examined and evaluated in an eco-system perspective.
