“Çevre” kavramına ilişkin konular, teorik düzeyde sayısız bilimsel çalışma ve makale kapsamında yer alan fen bilimlerinin yanında sosyal bilimlerin de ilgi sahasına giren çok nadir görülen alanlardan bir tanesi olarak ön plana çıkmaktadır. Mezkûr kavram bağlamında gerçekleştirilen araştırmalar günden güne artarak mühim bir boyut kazanmaktadır. Doğa-insan arasındaki dengenin bozulması ve ortaya çıkan sorunların canlı yaşamı için ciddi bir tehdit unsuru olması, artan ilginin en önemli sebebidir. Çevre, canlıların birbirleriyle etkileşim içinde yaşamlarını idame ettirdikleri ortamdır. Günümüzde insanlığın var oluşunu etkileyen en önemli ve güncel sorunlarından birisi çevre sorunlarıdır. Problemin sorumlusu insanın bizatihi kendisidir. Din, insanoğlunun içinde bulunduğu fiziksel ve toplumsal çevresi ile girdiği ilişkilerini düzenleyen önemli bir kurumdur. Dinler, çevreye ilişkin kendilerine özgü mahiyeti olan ve ayırt edici özelliklere sahip mesajlar içermektedir. Bu mesajları insan çevre ilişkisinde önemli bir etken olarak nitelendirmek mümkündür. Dolayısıyla, insanoğlunun doğayla/tabiatla etkileşimlerini dinden tam anlamıyla ferih fahur olarak ele almak imkânsızdır. İnsan tarafından çevreye yapılan müdahaleler neticesinde ortaya çıkan sorunlar, insanlığın varoluşunu tehdit eden en önemli ve güncel sorunlardan biri haline gelmiştir. Bu bağlamda çalışmada, öncelikle “çevre” ye yönelik tanımlar ve insan ve çevre etkileşimi irdelenecektir. Ardından çevre sorunları ve çevre bilinci ile ilgili hususlar ile çevre konusunda birçok emri bulunan Semavi dinlerin (Yahudilik, Hristiyanlık ve İslam) kutsi kitaplarında zikredilen gerek doğa/tabiat, gerekse doğaya/tabiata karşı yaklaşımları ile bu kapsamda oluşturulan çevre algısı kutsal metinler üzerinden ele alınıp analiz edilecektir.

The issues related to the concept of "environment" come to the forefront as one of the very rare areas of interest in the social sciences as well as the sciences in the scope of numerous scientific studies and articles at the theoretical level. The researches carried out in the context of the mentioned concept increase day by day and gain an important dimension. The most important reason for the increased interest is the deterioration of the balance between nature and man and the emerging problems being a serious threat to the living life. The environment is the environment in which living things maintain their lives interacting with each other. Today, one of the most important and current problems affecting the existence of humanity is environmental problems. The person responsible for the problem is himself. Religion is an important institution that regulates the relations of human beings with its physical and social environment. Religions contain messages of distinctive nature and distinctive features. It is possible to qualify these messages as an important factor in the human environment relationship. Therefore, it is impossible to consider the interactions of human beings with nature as purely heritage honorary from religion. The problems caused by human intervention in the environment have become one of the most important and topical problems that threaten human existence. In this context, definitions for “environment” and human-environment interaction are examined first. The scriptures then analyze the environmental and environmental awareness issues mentioned in the Kutsi books, as well as the nature, approach to nature, and perception of the environment created by the heavenly religions (Judaism, Christianity, and Islam) mentioned in the religious books.
