Toplu taşıma şoförleri hayatımızda önemli bir yere sahiptir. Her gün milyonlarca vatandaşımız toplu taşıma aracı kullanmaktadır. Bu araçların sevk ve idaresini sağlayan şoförler de bu sebeple önemlidir. Bu süreçte şoförlerin sorumlulukları ve bu sorumluluk gereği duygusal emekleri, iş stresi ve tükenmiş düzeyleri üst seviyededir. Bu nedenle bu araştırmanın amacı duygusal emeğin tükenmişlik üzerindeki etkisinde iş stresinin aracılık rolünün araştırılmasıdır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda Kapadokya Bölgesi’nde toplu taşıma hizmeti sunan toplam 284 şoförden anket aracılığıyla veri toplanmıştır. Çalışmada öncelikle değişkenler arasındaki ilişkiyi ele alan araştırmalar incelenmiş ve bu doğrultuda hipotezler oluşturulmuştur. Elde edilen veriler ışığında, SPSS ve AMOS programları kullanılarak araştırma hipotezleri sınanmıştır. Ölçek geçerliliği için doğrulayıcı faktör analizi (DFA) yapılarak, değişkenler arası ilişkiler tespit edilmiş ve yapısal eşitlik modeli (YEM) ile modelin uyum iyiliği testleri ile korelasyon ve regresyon analizi yapılmıştır. Aracılık rolünü test edebilmek için ise dolaylı etkilerin anlamlılığına bakılmış ve bunun için Process Makro yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Yapısal eşitlik modelinin analizi neticesinde duygusal emeğin tükenmişliği anlamlı olarak etkilediği (p<0,05) ve iş stresinin tükenmişliği anlamlı olarak etkilediği (p<0,05) tespit edilmiştir. Duygusal emeğin ise iş stresini anlamlı olarak etkilemediği bulgusuna ulaşılmıştır. Process Makro sonuçlarına göre duygusal emeğin tükenmişlik üzerindeki etkisinde iş stresinin aracılık rolü tespit edilememiştir. Bu bulgu duygusal emeğin tükenmişlik üzerindeki etkisinin bir kısmının iş stresi üzerindeki geçmediği anlamına gelmektedir. Çalışmanın alan yazınına teorik ve pratik olarak katkı sağlayacağı düşünülmektedir. Bu kapsamda çalışmanın gelecekte yapılacak olan çalışmalara ve uygulayıcılara ışık tutması yönünde çeşitli önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

Public transport drivers have an important role in our lives. Everyday, millions of citizens use these public transport vehicles. That's why the drivers who transports and reimburses are valuable. In this process, the responsibility of drivers and because of this responsibility their emotional labor, Job Stress and burnout are in the top level. The main purpose of this research is the evolution of the mediating role of Job Stress in the effect of emotional labor on burnout. For this purpose, the data was collected through a survey from a total of 284 public transport drivers in the Cappadocia Region. In the research, primarly the researches about the relationship between variables were analyzed and hypotheses were accordingly formed. With the datas obtained, research hypotheses have been tested using SPSS and AMOS programs. Confirmatory factor analysis (DFA) was done for scale validity and relationships between variabled were determined and with the correlation and regression analysis tests the structural equation model and the goodness of model was tested. For mediating test, Process Macro model was utilized. As the result of structural equation modeling, it was resolved that emotional labor(p<0,05) and work stress(p<0,05) significantly affected burnout. On the other hand, it was determined that, emotional labor did not affect Job Stress notably. Accordingly Process Macro method’s results, the mediating role of Job Stress in the effect of emotional labor on burnout did not be determined.This finding means that some of the effects of emotional labor on burnout did not caused just by work stress. It is thought that the research will contribute theoretically and practically to the literature. In this research, various suggestions were made to shed a light on the future studies and researches.
