There appears a big difference between the voyagers of ancient times and the travellers of today. The concept of modern travelling is far more steps beyond from the voyagers that builds cultural bridges between civilizations. Today, the global concept of “modern” tourism sector’s menthality focuses rather different from the ancient voyagers culture. Most of the developing countries perceives tourism as an industurial brunch. In fact, some of them canalize their investments to touristic areas and regard it as a life saver. So this clearly shows us that modern tourism concept existance depends on the triology of packing, marketing and consuming. This triology of modenization brougt new notions to both our daily lifes and our perception of identity. Furthermore, these notions became dominant at our national indentity construction process. Also, modernisation succeeded in constructing its own habitus. One and very important habitus of modern world shows up in touristic zones. Thus in this aticle, the new notions of modern tourism concept like authentification, locality and the consuming spaces of modern tourists will be discussed. Along with this, the importance of enchanting the touristic spaces without degenerating the cultural and touristic spaces will be argued. While doing this, the theories of John Urry, George Ritzer will be used. Besides, in this paper all these issues stated abowe will be related and argued with UNESCO’s Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage (2003).

It's a sociologically inevitable phenomenon that the social and political changes occuring in societies evoke their reflections in cultural productions prominently. Since the 19th Century , when national identities began to take form along with romantic nationalism , folkloric artifacts which are significant conveyers of cultural recollections such as history and language , have confronted us as a field emphasized by ideological and literary movements , notably Social Sciences. In the world of 20th Century , when ideologies began to take form in political sense , folkloric artifacts undertook significant functions in culture policies envisaged by dominant ideologies for the new forms of Societies which they tried to build. The style of the folkloric artifacts , cultural codes they conveyed , and their functionality have been active components in this approach. In this sense , the intensifying process , which begins to head towards works of folk narrations , folk poetry , and folk literature in Turkish Literature after 1930s , gradually increases after the 1940s and this tendency becomes one of the significant sources fostering literature. At this point , substantial works of Turkish folklore such as epics , folktales , tales , legends have been released to the public within new perspectives and techniques. It can be seen that new pursuits in expressions and utterances have been embarked , like in 'Deli Dumrul - Ölüm ve Aşk' (Epic and Play) by Dede Korkut , which can be considered as the rewriting of one of his epics with a new understanding. This study aims to make a comparison between 'Deli Dumrul - Ölüm ve Aşk' (Epic - Play) by Suat Taşer and the original text of the Epic of Deli Dumrul and to examine how folkloric artifacts and cultural values tried to be transmitted into those artifacts have been modernized , adapted contemporarily and released ;the parts where the writer digressed from the souce text during the adaptation ; to what extent the traditional context has been changed ; and the components influential in the change of given works in terms of theme and form.

This paper aims to discuss metacognition, which has especially been emphasized in recent years in relation to the subject of learning in the field of educational sciences, within various contexts. The method of this study, which presents a qualitative character, is the review of what has been obtained from the relevant literature both national and foreign. The study deals with the concepts of cognition and metacognition within various dimensions, and tries to describe them in the first place. Then, it analyzes these concepts in the contexts of the mind philosophy and the self psychology. The analyses focus on what the nature and source of the metacognitive capacity is and the characteristics of the relationship between cognition and metacognition and between metacognition and conscious. The study futher discusses, with a critical approach, whether a “metacognitive” capacity independent from “cognition” is really possible within the perspective of conscious. As a result of the study, it is seen that although there are numerous definitions of the concept of metacognition, there are not satisfactory explanations about the nature and source of the metacognitive capacity. It is identified that the relevant literature, generally experimental and monodisciplinary, focuses rather on the effects of the metacognitive capacity on learning and academic achievement, but not on what metacognition is and what it is not. The paper also concludes that in order for the metacognitive capacity to be comprehended together with its nature, source /sources, and all of its dimensions, there is a need for comprehensive analyses and discussions to be carried out with an interdisciplinary approach comprising such disciplines as psychology, neuropsychology, educational science, anthropology and philosophy.

Postmodern novel examples in Turkish literature were given in 1990s. Post modern literature, which gives importance to fiction, put forward such characteristics as superior fiction, intertextuality, pluralism, detective tension, irony, pastiche, parody etc. One of characteristics that postmodernism adopts takes shape around “play-playishness” concepts. Author, who wants to remove distances with reader; to include reader in creation process of text and to entertain reader, benefits from the play both in fiction and content platform. One of the novels which gives place to play-fiction relationship in Turkish literature is Sadık Aslankara’s novel called Le. In this article, the novel Le will be examined in the framework of play-fiction relationship.

At the time of Ottoman Empire the Kigı town was the center of township and sanjak. Initially it was connected to the Diyarbekir state, then to the Erzurum state, before the World War I, finally it was connected to the Harput state. At that time, various mines were extracted in that township of which the most important was iron. The mine dates back to the Akkoyunlu State. In the Ottoman Empire’s period, its production was interrupted for certain occasions.. Except for those occasions, the production was continued by tacksmen and emeers. During his excursion to Revan (1635) or Iran (1638), IV Murat built a humbarahane here. For a moment the production was halted; in 1735 it revived again. In 1817 another case like this was repeated. In 1839 it was closed absolutely. The existence of mine helped the Ottoman mining, the economy of the region and weapon industry. The villagers in the vicinity of the mine were tax exempted for working in mine. The products; slabs and cannon humbaras were sent to the Erzurum castle. Also it had an important role in fulfilling the need of ammunition of other castles in the East border. if appropriated, the mine was used to fulfill the need of ammunition of Europe border through Trabzon port. The amounts of workers and their earnings, the amounts and sum of the production of slab and humbara on the basis of batman and vukiyye, the price and amounts of construction products that used in facilities, the curtilage of facilities, and the information obtained about the kind and characteristic of tools and so on, shed light on the economic and military history of the region.

This study is an attempt to analyze the relationship between the body and personality in some (Yaban of Yakup Kadri Karaosmanoğlu and Sinekli Bakkal of Halide Edip Adıvar and Yeşil Gece of Reşat Nuri Güntekin) Turkish modern novels. The authors in those novels are consistent in describing the characters of the novels. The characters that had bad personalities were described in a similar manner in even different novels. The characters that had positive personality were portrayed as having good facial expressions and naive attitudes while the bad characters were portrayed as having satanic but enticing appearance, strange facial features or depreciated outfits. This common portrayal shows both perception of the novelists, the society and the intellectuals. It is thought that a comprehensive study on cultural roots of the relationship between the body and personality in Turkish moden novelists would take us to important conclusions.

He managed this, to some extent, in Balkans and Anatolia.
The Findings Upon the Designation of Turkish Words Among Balkan Languages

The presence of the Turks in the geography of Balkans can be track back to the centuries before Ottomans. The actual impact of the Turkish language and culture began with the start of Ottoman conquests. With the Ottoman conquest, there have been great changes on the structure of the Balkan communities. As a result of this comprehensive and large impact, thousands of Turkish words entered into the Balkanic Languages. The quantity of Turkish words, their effect of the Balkanic Cultures and Languages have directed the researchers to search these words. The researchers who investigated the Turkish words in the Balkanic Languages faced a fundamental problem. The main problem that the researchers faced was the issue of designation of these words in question. Due to the appearance of the words of Arabic and Persian origin along with Turkish, some researchers have applied the term “Orientalism” for these words in question. Since the vast majority of words in the Balkanic Languages are Turkish, the researchers, considering the fact that Arabic and Persian words entered into the Balkanic Languages through Turkish, have preferred the concept “Turkism” for these words. Researchers, without making a detailed evaluation on either “Orientalism” or “Turkism,” have stated their more general preferences. However, the designation issue of these words, which have such effect on the Balkanic Languages and their numbers getting closer to ten thousand in some languages, requires a detailed analysis in order to formulate an opinion. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the words in question in terms of grammatical, ethno-linguistics, cultural and historical process and to contribute to the issue of designating through Ottoman institutions and community life. Within the scope of this study, the emphasis is given, in addition to all the Balkanic Languages, on the Bosnian-Serbian-Croatian and Albanian Languages where Turkish words are dominantly present

‘Med’ is reading a syllable, which is long and ends with double consonants or ‘hemze’ in Arabic and Persian words, as two syllables, one ‘long’ and ‘short’. This application was used by the poets to strengthen the harmony. In Turkish words using med has been accepted as a misuse. However when looked at examples it is seen that poets read a lot of words with med. Nowadays studies have been made on the presence of long vocals. In this point of view, in some words which end with the consonant /ğ/ and where there exists a vocal before this /ğ/, for instance “ağla-, bağla-, çağla-, yağla-, ağ, çağ, dağ, ırmağ, otağ, sağ, toprağ, barmağ, yaylağ…”, the first syllable contains a long vocal and this syllable was usually read by poets with med. In this study, the applications and initiatives of poets on this topic will be analysed.

The intricate system of the Present Tense form of Tatar dialect language is analyzed in the article. Compared with the literary language, where the given temporal meaning is expressed only with the form – a, it is viewed through 6 synthetic forms and 2 analytical ones. Only the form with –a from all these forms is a consistent element of all identified systems and therefore it comprises the core part of the Tatar dialect language. The middle dialect (dialect of Kazan Tatars) has no special features and corresponds to the literal language according its form. The third person singular in the Mishar dialect is formed by means of the relict affix –dır. Dialects of Siberian Tatars are contradistinguished to others with the exponent –tı, which finds its origins in the Old Turkic auxiliary verb “turur”. Each form of the Present Tense of the Tatar dialect language, besides semantic peculiarities, has its own separate expansion territory and therefore they form different isoglosses in Tatar linguistic area.
