Klasik Türk şiirinde birden fazla anlama gelen bir kelimeyi farklı anlamlara gelecek şekilde tevriyeli olarak kullanmak, en önemli şairlik göstergelerinden biridir. Çok anlamlılık ifade eden kelimelerle okuyucunun zihnini harekete geçirmek klasik şairler için vazgeçilmez bir sanat oyunudur. Klasik şairler bu söyleyiş güzelliğiyle okuyucunun merama biraz daha geç intikal etmesini sağlayarak zihinde bir çeşit çözümleme süreci başlatırlar. Okuyucunun söyleyişteki inceliği kavraması ise bu çözümlemeye ulaştıktan sonra gerçekleşir. Bu inceliği kavramak için okuyucunun belli bir kültürel ve edebî alt yapıya sahip olması gerekir. Bu çalışma bu alt yapıyı oluşturmaya katkı niteliğindedir. Necâtî Bey, çok anlamlılık ifade eden ibareleri birden fazla anlama gelecek şekilde kullanan klasik şairlerden biridir. Bu çalışma  vesilesiyle okuyucular, Necâtî Bey Dîvânı’nda çok anlamlılık ifaden sözcükleri tanıyarak bu kelimelerin kullanımı ve işlevi hakkında bir fikir sahibi olacaklardır. Klasik Türk şiirinde bir sözcüğü birden fazla anlamı karşılayacak şekilde kullanmak, kinâye, tevriye, îhâm, mugâlata-i maneviyye gibi isimlerle anılmaktadır. Klasik belagatçılar, bir ifadenin yakın anlamının söylenip uzak anlamının kastedilmesini tevriye olarak kabul etmekte, îhâmı ise tevriyenin diğer adı olarak nitelendirmektedir. Mugâlata-i maneviyye ise çoğu zaman tevriyeden daha çok hüner isteyen bir sanat olarak görülmüştür. Yapılan incelemelerde tevriye ve mugâlata-i maneviyye örneklerinin birbirine karıştığı görülmüştür. Bu yüzden bu çalışma genel olarak tevriye olarak isimlendirilmiş ve Necâtî Bey Dîvânı’nda iki anlamlılık ifade eden kelimeler tevriye sanatı olarak değerlendirilmiştir. Çalışmada gerçek mecaz ilişkisi üzerine kurulmuş sözcüklerden ziyade eş adlı ya da gerçek-yan anlamlı sözcükler üzerinde durulmuştur. Tevriye sanatındaki uzak yakın anlam ilişkisi ise kişiden kişiye değişeceği için okuyucuya bırakılmıştır.

In classical Turkish poetry, one of the most important indicators of poetic ability is to use in different meanings a word that has more than one meaning. Activating the mind of the reader with words expressing multiple meanings is an indispensable art play for classical poets. With the beauty of this utterance, classical poets initiate a kind of analysis process in the mind by allowing the reader to arrive a little later. The reader’s understanding of the subtlety of the discourse takes place after reaching this analysis. The reader must have a certain background to comprehend this subtlety. This study contributes to this infrastructure. Necati Bey is one of the classical poets who use multi-meaning phrases in more than one meaning. Through this study, readers will be able to recognize the meaning of the words in Necatî Bey’s Diwan and have an idea about the usage and function of these words. In classical Turkish poetry, using a word to meet more than one meaning is called by names such as kinaye, tewriye, iham, mugalata-i maneviye. Classical eloquence researchers accept that tewriye means the distant meaning of a word that is said its close meaning in the poet and refer to iham as another name of tewriye and also mugalata-i maneviye has often been seen as an art that requires more skill than tewriye. It is seen that the examples of tewriye and mugalata-i maneviye are mixed in the studies. For this reason, this study was generally called tewriye and the words that express two meanings in Necati Bey’s Diwan were considered the art of tewriye. The study focused on words that have more than one real meaning, rather than words based on the relationship of truth and metaphor.The relationship between distant and close meaning in the art of tewriye is left to the reader because it will change from person to person.
