: İnanma isteği, insan yaşamıyla başlayan, dönemin mevcut öğretileri ve inanç sistemi ile şekillenen bir olgu olarak hem bireyin hem de toplumun yaşamını şekillendiren köklü bir öge olmuştur. Neden ve nasıl sorularıyla başlayan bilme/öğrenme ve anlam arayışı zamanla bir fikre, bir yaratıma ve/veya olguya dönüşerek somut bir kavram hâlini almıştır. Evren; yeryüzü, gökyüzü ve yeraltı ile ilgili bilinenden bilinmeyene doğru yapılan saptamalar da tarih boyunca benzer bir çizgide bireyin zihninde olgunlaşmıştır. Evrenin oluşumuyla ilgili pek çok Kozmolojik varsayım ortaya atılmış, kozmos/evren dönemin imkânları dahilinde anlamlandırılmaya çalışılmıştır. Hem Türk toplumunda hem de dünya toplumlarında bu çaba ya gökbilimi (astronomi) açısından fizikle ilgili olarak ya da mitoloji perspektifinden metafizikle ilgili olarak açıklanmaya çalışılmıştır. Evreni mitolojik açıdan ele almanın temelinde duyularla algılanamayan varlıkları sezgisel olarak anlamlandırma düşüncesi yatar. Bu yöntemle elde edilen kanaat, geleneksel olarak yayılır, ulusun hayal gücünün etrafında değişiklik göstererek zamanla halk arasında yayılır ve mit, efsane ve destan hâlini alır. Çalışmada, uzun yıllar sözlü kültür dairesinde yazı dilinin bağlayıcılığından uzak, nesilden nesle aktarılarak gelmiş Hakas Türklerinin evrene dair öğretileri, Hakasların Kartaga Mergen destanındaki üç dünya kozmolojisi açısından incelenmiştir. Hakas Türklerinin üç dünya tasavvuru (yeryüzü, gökyüzü ve yeraltı), eski çağlardan beri biriktirdiği mitolojik ögelerle ve ritüellerle şekillendirdiği inanç sistemi evren anlayışı bağlamında çözümlenmiştir.
The desire to believe is a phenomenon that begins with human life and is shaped by the prevailing teachings and belief systems of the time; as such, it has been a fundamental element that shapes the lives of both individuals and society. The quest for knowledge and understanding, which begins with the questions “why” and “how,” eventually takes the form of a concrete concept by evolving into an idea, a creation, and/or a phenomenon. Throughout history, observations regarding the universe encompassing the earth, the sky, and the underworld have similarly matured in the individual’s mind as a journey from the known to the unknown. Many cosmological theories regarding the formation of the universe have been proposed, and attempts have been made to interpret the cosmos within the limits of the knowledge available at the time. Both in Turkish society and in societies around the world, these efforts have been explained either from the perspective of physics, in relation to astronomy, or from the perspective of metaphysics, in relation to mythology. At the heart of approaching the universe from a mythological perspective lies the idea of intuitively making sense of entities that cannot be perceived through the senses. The beliefs formed through this method are traditionally transmitted; they evolve around the collective imagination of the nation and, over time, spread among the people, taking the form of legends, epics, and myths. In this study, the Hakas Turks’ teachings about the universe which have been passed down from generation to generation for many years within an oral tradition, free from the constraints of written language will be examined through the epic of Kartaga Mergen and analyzed from the perspective of the three-world cosmology. The Hakas Turks’ belief system which has been shaped by mythological elements and rituals accumulated since ancient times will be analyzed within the framework of a three-world cosmology (earth, sky, and underworld).
