Fen derslerinde sıkça görsellerden yararlanılmakta olup ders ve çalışma kitaplarında pek çok şekil, tablo, grafik vb. görsel öğelere yer verilmektedir. Bu araştırmada, fen bilgisi öğretmen adaylarının tablolama ve kelime işlemci programlarını fen derslerinin amacına uygun kullanabilme yeterliklerinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma, durum çalışması desenine göre yürütülmüştür. Araştırma, 2018-2019 eğitim-öğretim yılı bahar döneminde Karadeniz bölgesindeki bir devlet üniversitesinin Eğitim Fakültesi Fen Bilgisi Eğitimi programında 3. sınıfta öğrenim görmekte olan 72 öğretmen adayı ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırma kapsamında, Ondokuz Mayıs Üniversitesi Sosyal ve Beşeri Bilimler Araştırmaları Etik Kurulu’nun 06.07.2018 tarih ve 2018/223 sayılı Etik Kurul Onayı alınmıştır. Verilerin toplanması amacıyla, tablolama testi (TT) ve kelime işlemci testinin (KİT) birleştirilmesiyle oluşan ve performansa dayalı sekiz sorunun yer aldığı çizim testi (ÇT) kullanılmıştır. TT içerisinde tablo, pasta grafiği, sütun grafiği ve çizgi grafiği oluşturma ve KİT içerisinde çizim nesnesi, akış diyagramı, tablo ve kavram haritası oluşturma soruları yer almaktadır. TT ve KİT puanlarının toplamı ÇT puanını oluşturmaktadır. ÇT’yi tamamlayan öğretmen adayları her bir performans sorusu için geliştirilen rubrikler kullanılarak değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda, fen bilgisi öğretmen adaylarının tablolama programını ders amacına uygun kullanabilme yeterliklerinin düşük, kelime işlemci programını kullanabilme yeterliklerinin ise orta düzeyde olduğu belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca, öğretmen adaylarının kelime işlemci programını tablolama programına göre fen derslerinin amacı doğrultusunda daha yaygın olarak kullandıkları anlaşılmıştır. Öğretmen adaylarının tablolama ve kelime işlemci programlarını fen derslerinin amacına uygun kullanabilme becerilerinin geliştirilmesine yönelik olarak bilgisayar dersini okutan öğretim elemanlarıyla iş birliğine gidilebileceği ve eğer programlarında bilgisayar dersi bulunmuyorsa bir mesleki gelişim programı kapsamında bu yeterliklerinin geliştirilmesi gerektiği önerilmektedir.

In science courses, visuals are frequently used and there are many figures, tables, charts, etc. visual elements used in textbooks and workbooks. In this research, it was aimed to investigate pre-service science teachers' competences in using spreadsheet and word processing programs according to the purpose of the science courses. The research was conducted according to the case study design. The research was carried out with 72 pre-service teachers who were studying at the Faculty of Education in the 3rd grade of Science Education program at a state university situated in the Black Sea region in the 2018-2019 academic year spring period. Within the scope of the research, Ethics Committee Approval dated 06.07.2018 and numbered 2018/223 was obtained from the Social and Humanities Research Ethics Committee of Ondokuz Mayıs University. In order to collect data, a drawing test (DT) formed with the combination of spreadsheet test (ST) and word processing test (WPT) having performance-based eight questions was used. There are questions about creating a table, a pie chart, a column chart and a line chart in the context of ST, and questions about creating a drawing object, a flowchart, a table and a concept map in the context of WPT. The total of ST and WPT scores constitute the DT score. Assessment of pre-service teachers completing DT was realized by using rubrics developed for each performance question. As a result of research, it was determined that pre-service science teachers' competence in using spreadsheet program according to the purpose of the science courses was low and their competence in using word processing program was medium level. Besides, it was understood that pre-service teachers have used word processing program more common rather than spreadsheet program according to the purpose of the science courses. In order to develop pre-service teachers’ competences in using spreadsheet and word processing programs according to the purpose of the science courses, it has been stated that cooperation can be made with the lecturers giving computer course and if there is no computer course in the programs, it is recommended that these competences can be developed within the scope of a professional development program.
