Eğitim, kişilerin ve toplumların gelişimi için son derece önemlidir. Emek yoğun bir sektör olan turizm sektöründe istihdam edilecek personellerin mesleki ve teknik eğitimlerinin de sektörün ve çağın ihtiyaçlarına göre planlanması ve uygulanması gerekmektedir. Bu çalışmanın amacı; turizm eğitiminde uygulanan inovatif uygulamaları tespit etmek ve bu uygulamaların eğitim ve öğretime olan etkisini ortaya koymaktır. Çalışma, nitel araştırma yöntemine dayanan betimsel tarama modelinde ikincil veriler kullanılarak hazırlanmıştır. Daha önce turizm eğitiminde inovasyon ile ilgili yapılmış 31 çalışma amaç, kapsam, yöntem ve sonuçları açısından incelenerek yorumlanıştır. Araştırmanın bulgularında, turizm eğitimi alanında geliştirilen inovatif uygulamaların, yöntemin, materyalin, teknolojik uygulamaların, kişisel gelişim faaliyetlerinin öğrencilerin öğrenme becerileri üzerinde olumlu etkisi olduğu görülmüştür. Bu inovatif uygulamaların hem öğrenciler hem eğitimciler, hem de kurumun gelişimi ve memnuniyeti açısından oldukça önemli olduğu görülmüştür. Yenilikçi uygulamaların öğrencilerin, bireysel ve örgütsel yenilik düzeylerini, akıl yürütmeyi, empati kurmayı, girişimcilik eğilimini, analitik düşünme becerisini, karmaşık problemleri çözebilme yetisini artırdığı görülmüştür. Ayrıca, dijital ortamda öğrenmenin öğrencilere esnek öğrenme olanakları sağladığı, daha ilgi çekici olduğu, öğrenmeyi kolaylaştırdığı, derse katılımı artırdığı, devamsızlıkları azalttığı ve öğrenci başarılarını artırdığı görülmüştür. Bu inovatif yöntemlerin artırılması ve sonraki çalışmalarda farklı inovatif uygulamalarla öğrencilerin öğrenme düzeyleri arasındaki ilişkinin incelendiği araştırmaların yapılması önemlidir. Son olarak, turizm eğitimindeki değişimi daha iyi anlamak için, yenilikçi uygulamaları nasıl entegre edecekleri konusunda akademisyenlere rehberlik etmek ve motive etmek için pratik çözümler sunan önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

Education is extremely important for the development of individuals and society. The vocational and technical training of the personnel to be employed in the tourism sector, which is a labor-intensive sector, should also be planned and implemented according to the needs of the sector and the time. The aim of this study is to identify the innovative practices in tourism education and to reveal the effects of these applications on education and training. This article follows a literature review methodology that focuses on current open source research. The selected articles were analysed using a content analysis in terms of purpose, scope, method and results. Of the initial papers obtained from the searches, a total of 31, which are about innovation in tourism education have been included in the study. Through the findings of the research, it has been observed that the innovative applications, method, material, technological applications, and personal development activities have a positive impact on students' learning skills. These innovative practices have been found to be important not only for the development and satisfaction of students and teachers but also for the education institutions. The results showed that the innovative practices increase the students’ individual and organizational innovation levels, their reasoning, empathy, entrepreneurship tendency, analytical thinking skills and ability to solve complex problems. Besides, learning in the digital environment provides students with more flexible learning opportunities, facilitates learning, increases attendance, increases student achievements, and reduces absenteeism. It should be noted that examining the relationship between different innovative practices and students' learning levels is of great importance in future studies.
