The Corelation Between Learning Styles and Creative Personality Traits of The Sports Manager Candidates


The goal of the current research is to examine the correlation between the learning styles and creative personality traits of the sports manager candidates. The research was constructed with the relational screening model, one of the general screening approaches. Participants consist of 340 Sports Management undergraduate program students who were determined by simple random sampling technique. The research data were collected using the "Kolb Learning Styles Inventory-III" developed by Kolb (1999) and adapted into Turkish by Evin-Gencel (2007) and the "Creative Personality Traits Scale" developed by Şahin and Danışmanlık (2017). Prior to the study, approval was obtained from the Ethics Committee of Artvin Coruh University (2020/1) regarding the ethical suitability of the study. In the analysis of the data; frequency analysis, One Way ANOVA and Pearson Correlation tests were used. As a result of the research, it was determined that 14.7% of the participants has the style of “Convergent”, 40,6% of them were “Divergent”, 25% were “Assimilative” and 19.7% were “Accommodative”. "Accommodative" learning style dominant participants scored more points in "Intrinsic motivation" and "Risk taking" sub-dimensions from participants the other learning styles. In addition, “Convergent” and “Accommodative” learning style dominant participants scored more points in the “Task orientation” and “Self-confidence” sub-dimensions from participants the other learning styles. Finally, it was found that of the participants correlation between the way transforming the information and the creative personality traits.
