A Research On The Relationship Between The Vocational Personality Types Of Teachers And The Levels Of Creative Personality

Vocational personality types are the subject of literature with an increasing importance. Another concept that has gained importance in the literature today is the creative personality types. In this study, it is aimed to quantify the relationship between the innovative personality types and the vocational personality types of the teachers who are one of the most important components of education. In this study, which was designed according to the descriptive survey model, a questionnaire was applied on 393 classroom teachers working in various private primary schools in 2017-2018 academic years in the European side of Istanbul. According to the findings of the study, the creativity sub-dimensions of teacher candidates did not show a statistically significant difference according to demographic characteristics (p> 0.05). Similarly, it was observed that the scores related to vocational personality types did not differ significantly between demographic groups (p> 0.05). On the other hand, statistically significant high and positive relationships were found between the sub-dimensions of creative personality and the sub-dimensions of vocational personality (p <0.01). The results of the study show that there is a relationship between the creative personality of the teachers and the vocational personality types and the creativity levels can be managed according to the type of occupational personality. It can be stated that the discourses of globalization, whose generation differences are gradually decreasing, are also effective on our teachers working in the field of education. Therefore, it is possible to see that demographic structure differences are not as effective today as in the past. For this reason, it is useful to take into account the generational differences in the administrative sciences as well as in the content of education.
