Bu çalışmanın amacı yabancılara Türkçe öğretimi alanında yapılmış yüksek lisans ve doktora tezlerindeki araştırma eğilimlerinin belirlenmesidir. Araştırmanın amacı doğrultusunda 1994-2023 yılları arasında YÖK Ulusal Tez Merkezi Sistemi’nde yabancılara Türkçe öğretimi alanında yayımlanmış lisansüstü tezler, nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden biri olan içerik analizi yöntemi ile incelenmiştir. Araştırma materyalini YÖK Ulusal Tez Merkezi Sistemi’nde kayıtlı bulunan yabancılara Türkçe öğretimi ile ilgili 868 yüksek lisans ve doktora tezi oluşturmaktadır. Verilerin toplanmasında nitel araştırmalarda sıklıkla başvurulan bir teknik olan doküman incelemesinden yararlanılmıştır. Araştırma kapsamına alınan lisansüstü tezlerin analizini gerçekleştirmek için araştırmacılar tarafından hazırlanan Lisansüstü Tez Çözümleme Formu kullanılmıştır. Analiz işlemlerinin gerçekleştirilmesinde içerik analizi tekniğinden yararlanılmıştır. Elde edilen veriler, frekans (sıklık) ve yüzdeye dayalı bir şekilde değerlendirilerek tablo ve grafiklerle sunulmuştur. Araştırmanın sonunda yabancılara Türkçe öğretimi alanında pek çok farklı konunun ele alındığı, bu konulardan üzerinde en çok durulanların ise sırasıyla ders kitabı incelemesi, model/yöntem/teknik uygulaması, materyal tasarımı/geliştirme ve öğrencilerin öğrenme özelliklerinin incelenmesi olduğu anlaşılmıştır. Elde edilen bulgulardan hareketle lisansüstü çalışmaların çok büyük bir kısmının (%82,3) yüksek lisans düzeyinde yapıldığı belirlenmiştir. Tezlerde geçen anahtar kelimelerin analiziyle en çok tekrar eden ilk üç anahtar kelimenin sırasıyla yabancılara Türkçe öğretimi, yabancı dil olarak Türkçe öğretimi, Türkçenin yabancı dil olarak öğretimi (TYDÖ) olduğu tespit edilmiş ve yapılan çalışmaların çoğunun nitel yaklaşım bağlamında desenlendiği sonuçlarına ulaşılmıştır.

The aim of this study is to state the research tendencies of thesis done in postgraduate and doctorate in the field of teaching Turkish to foreigners. In accordance with the purpose of this study, the academic postgraduate dissertations published between 1994-2023 in the field of teaching Turkish to foreigners in Higher Education National Thesis Center System were examined through the content analysis method which is one of the qualitative research methods. The research material consists of 868 postgraduate and doctoral theses registered in Higher Education National Thesis Center System related to the field of teaching Turkish to the foreigners. Document analysis, a technique frequently used in qualitative research, was used to collect data. The Postgraduate Thesis Analysis Form prepared by the researchers was used to perform the systematic analysis of the postgraduate theses included in this study. Content analysis techniquewas used in the analysis process. The acquired data were evaluated based on frequency and percentage and they were presented with tables and graphics. At the end of this research, it was found out that lots of topics were handled and the most emphasized ones were respectively the review of textbook, the application of model/method/technique, material design/development and the examination of students’ learning characteristics. Based on the findings, it was stated that a major part of postgraduate studies (82,3%) were carried out at the postgraduate level. After the analysis of the keywords used in the theses, it was established that the most repeated three keywords were teaching Turkish to foreigners, teaching Turkish as a foreign language, and teaching Turkish as a foreign language and it was concluded that most of the studies were
designed in the context of qualitative approach.
