Arabuluculuk iş, toplum, sosyal hayat, okul ortamında anlaşmazlıkların çözümünde sıklıkla kullanılmakla birlikte arabulucu kişilerin özellikleri ve davranışları konusunda tam bir liste oluşturulamamış ve eksikliği yaşanmaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı öğretmenlerin arabuluculuk tutumlarını belirlemeye yönelik geçerli ve güvenilir bir ölçme aracı geliştirmektir. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu İstanbul’da devlet okullarında görev yapan öğretmenler oluşturmaktadır. Ölçeği geliştirmek için 47 madde oluşturulmuş ve uzman görüşü alınmıştır. Uzman görüşü sonrası altı madde atılmış ve 41 maddelik taslak form hazırlanmıştır. Hazırlanan ölçek 5’li likert tipindedir. Açımlayıcı faktör analizi için 302, doğrulayıcı faktör analizi için farklı bir 463 kişilik örneklemle çalışılmıştır. Yapılan açımlayıcı faktör analizinde ölçeğin dört faktörlü yirmi beş maddelik yapıda olduğu gözlemlenmiştir. 4 faktörlü ölçeğin açıkladığı toplam varyans %64.137’dir. Maddelerin ayırt ediciliğine karar vermek için %27’lik alt ve üst gruplara göre test edilmiş ve tüm maddeler için anlamlı bulunmuştur (p<0.01). Açımlayıcı faktör analizinde ulaşılan yapı sonrasında doğrulayıcı faktör analiziyle de doğrulanmıştır. Ölçeğin boyutlarına ve geneline ait Cronbach alfa katsayıları hesaplanmıştır. Böylece ölçeğin alt boyutlarının ve ölçek genelinin güvenilir olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Ölçek genelinin Cronbach alfa katsayısı 0,937 bulunmuştur. DFA sonrası Fornell Larcker Kriteri ile ayrışma geçerliliği hesaplanmış ve DFA modeli için ayrışma geçerliliğinin sağlandığı gözlemlenmiştir. Ayrıca geliştirilen ölçek için test tekrar test yöntemi kullanılmış ve test tekrar test yöntemine göre de güvenilir olduğu bulunmuştur (r=0,936 p<0.01). Elde edilen sonuçlar geliştirilen ölçeğin geçerli ve güvenilir olduğunu göstermektedir. Geliştirilen ölçeğin kişilerin arabuluculuk tutumlarını belirlemede ve arabulucu kişileri seçmede kullanılabileceği düşünülmektedir.

Although mediation is frequently used in the resolution of disputes in the business, community, social life and school environment, a complete list of the characteristics and behaviors of mediators has not been established and there is a lack of it. The aim of this study is to develop a valid and reliable measurement tool to determine teachers' mediation attitudes. The study group of the research consists of teachers who work in public schools in Istanbul. To develop the scale, 47 items were created and expert opinion was taken. After the expert opinion, six items were discarded and a draft form of 41-item was prepared. The prepared scale is in 5-point Likert type. It was studied with a sample of 302 for exploratory factor analysis and a different sample of 463 for confirmatory factor analysis. In the explanatory factor analysis, it was observed that the scale had a four-factor and twenty-five item structure. The total variance explained by the 4-factor scale is 64.137%. To decide the discrimination of the items, it was tested according to the 27% lower and upper groups and was found to be significant for all items (p<0.01). After the structure was reached in the explanatory factor analysis, it was confirmed by confirmatory factor analysis, too. Cronbach's alpha coefficients for the dimensions and general of the scale were calculated. Thus, it was concluded that the sub-dimensions of the scale and the overall scale were reliable. The Cronbach's alpha coefficient of the overall scale was found 0.937. After CFA, discriminant validity was calculated with Fornell Larcker Criterion and it was observed that discriminant validity was provided for the CFA model. Also, for the developed scale the test-retest method was used and it was found to be reliable according to the test-retest method, too (r=0.936 p<0.01). The results obtained show that the developed scale is valid and reliable. It is thought that the developed scale can be used to determine mediation attitudes of individuals and to select mediators.
