Tarih boyunca zaman zaman küresel ölçekte salgınlar yaşanmıştır. Ancak eğitimin okullar üzerinden kurumsallaştığı ve kitlelerin neredeyse tamamına yaygınlaştığı modern çağda bu denli uzun süreli bir kesintiye uğramamıştır.  Bu şartlar altında Kovid-19 Salgını eğitim alanını derinden etkilemiş ve eğitimin okulun dışına, çevrimiçi ortama çıkmasına neden olmuştur. Süreçte eğitimde genel anlamda yaşanan sorunların yanında derslere özel sorunlar da yaşanmıştır. Kovid-19 Salgını sürecinde Tarih öğretiminde yaşanan sorunların tespit edilmesi ve bu sorunlara çözüm önerileri sunulması kuşkusuz önemlidir. Böylece zarurî uzaktan öğretim süreçlerinde gereken tedbirlerin alınmasına ve Tarih derslerinin niteliğinin arttırılmasına yönelik katkı sağlanabilecektir. Bu süreçte İstanbul İlindeki Tarih derslerinin dolayısıyla Tarih öğretiminin durumunu tespit etmek amacıyla yapılan bu çalışma bir tarama araştırması olarak yürütülmüştür. İstanbul’da görev yapan 404 Tarih öğretmenine uygulanan anketin sonuçlarına göre özellikle salgın sürecinin başında ve süreç boyunca öğretmenler zarurî uzaktan öğretim ve dijital imkânlarla ilgili yeterli derecede hizmet içi eğitim almadıklarını, teknolojiyi kullanırken yardım almak zorunda kaldıklarını, öğrenci katılımı ve veli desteği hususlarında sorunlar yaşadıklarını belirtmişlerdir. Tarih öğretmenleri, salgın süreciyle uzaktan öğretimde kullanılmaya başlayan yöntem ve araçların bundan sonraki süreçlerde eğitimde ve Tarih öğretiminde kullanılmaya devam edileceği noktasında görüşlerini ortaya koymuşlardır. Kısıtlama gerektiren benzer durumlara özgü ve Tarih öğretimini her yönüyle ele alan esnek bir tasarımının yapılması gerekliliği sonucuna varılmıştır.

Throughout history, there have been epidemics on a global scale from time to time. However, it has not been interrupted for such a long time in the modern age, where education has been institutionalized through schools and spread to almost all of the masses. Under these conditions, The Covid-19 Pandemic deeply affected the field of education, carried it out of school, and caused it to move online space. In the process, there were problems specific to the lessons as well as the general problems in education. It is undoubtedly important to identify the problems experienced in history teaching during the Covid-19 Epidemic and to offer solutions to these problems. Thus, it will be possible to contribute to taking the necessary precautions in emergency remote teaching processes and increasing the quality of History lessons. In this process, this study which was carried out in order to determine the situation of History lessons namely History teaching in Istanbul Province, was conducted as a survey research. According to the results of the questionnaire applied to 404 History teachers working in Istanbul, especially at the beginning of the pandemic process and throughout the process, teachers stated that they did not receive sufficient in-service training regarding emergency remote teaching and digital facilities, they had to get help while using technology, and they had problems with student participation and parent support. They have put forward their views on the point that the methods and tools that started to be used with the pandemic process will continue to be used in education and history teaching in the future. It was concluded that a flexible design should be made, which is specific to similar situations requiring restriction, and that handles History teaching in all aspects.
