Günümüzde bireylerin dünyasını her yönüyle etkileyen teknolojik gelişmeler ve küreselleşme, bilgi miktarı ve bireyler arasında bilgi alışverişini oldukça artırmıştır. Bilgi Çağı’nda ortaya çıkan hızlı değişimi ve gelişmeleri takip etmek için birey bilgiyi araştırır, bilgileri edinirken günümüz gereği modern yöntemlere başvurur ve edindiği bilgiyi işler ve aktarır. Bir bilginin dünya çapında hızla yayılmasına katkı sağlayan en önemli araçlardan biri de dildir. Evrensel bir dil olarak İngilizcenin yanı sıra farklı bir alfabeye sahip olan diller de büyük ilgi görmektedir. Sami diller ailesinden olan Arap dili, bu dillere örnek gösterilebilir. Arapça öğrenme aşamasında bireylerin dört temel beceriyi yeterli düzeyde geliştiremediği ve bu durumun dil öğrenme sürecine olumsuz etkilerinin olduğu görülmektedir. Bu çalışmada Gazi Üniversitesi Arap Dili Eğitimi Anabilim Dalı 2020-2021 Eğitim Öğretim Yılı Güz Döneminde 4. sınıfta öğrenim görmekte olan 19 öğrenciyle görüşme yapılmıştır. Yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme gönüllülük esasına göre yapılmış olup öğrenciler rastgele seçilmiştir. Araştırmada akademik olarak Arapça öğretimi yapılan öğrencilerin Arapça dinleme becerilerini geliştirme ve öğretim süreciyle ilgili görüşlerini tespit etmek için araştırmacı tarafından 6 sorudan oluşan yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu geliştirilmiş olup katılımcılar tarafından cevaplandırılması istenmiştir. Katılımcıların cevaplarına göre Arapça sözlü iletişim becerilerinin bir parçası olan dinleme becerisinin kazanımı sürecinde öğrencilerin birçok açıdan karşılaştığı problemler tespit edilmiş ve bu problemleri çözmeye yönelik öneriler sunulmuştur.

Technological developments and globalization, which affect the world of individuals in every aspect, have greatly increased the amount of information and the exchange of information between individuals at present. The individual searches for information to follow the rapid changes and developments in the Information Age, and uses modern methods as required today while acquiring information, and processes, and transfers the acquired knowledge. Language is one of the most important tools that contribute to the rapid spread of knowledge around the world. Languages with a different alphabet are also of great interest to individuals in addition to English as a universal language. The Arabic language, which is from the Semitic family of languages, can be given as an example of these languages. It is seen that individuals cannot improve four basic skills (listening, speaking, writing, and reading) adequately at the stage of learning Arabic and this situation has negative effects on the language learning process. In this study, the researcher conducted interviews with 19 students studying in the 4th grade of Gazi University, Department of Arabic Language Education in the Fall Semester of the 2020-2021 Academic Year. Before the semi-structured interview, students were randomly selected voluntarily. In this research, a semi-structured interview form consisting of 6 questions was developed by the researcher to improve the Arabic listening skills of the students who study Arabic academically and to get their feelings and thoughts about the teaching process, and the participants were asked to answer them. The researcher asked the participants to answer these questions. The problems encountered by the students in many aspects during the acquisition of the listening skill, which is a part of the Arabic verbal communication skills, were determined according to the answers of the participants,  and suggestions were presented to solve these problems.
