Araştırma, Türkiye’deki mesleki müzik eğitimi kurumlarında, klarnet alanında tamamlanmış lisansüstü tez çalışmalarının; türleri, araştırma alanları, yöntemleri, yıllara ve hazırlandığı enstitülere göre dağılımının saptanması amacıyla hazırlanmıştır. Bu kapsamda 1993-2019 yılları arasında tamamlanmış olan, Yüksek Öğretim Kurumu Tez Dokümantasyon Merkezi sistemine kayıtlı 74 adet lisansüstü çalışma incelenmiştir. Çalışmada veriler, nitel araştırma yöntemi kapsamında doküman analizi yapılarak toplanmış olup, toplanan veriler (f) frekans ve (%) yüzde hesaplaması yapılarak ilgili tablolar altında verilmiştir. Araştırmanın sonucunda klarnet alanında tamamlanmış olan (n=59) yüksek lisans tezi, (n=11) sanatta yeterlilik tezi ve 4 adet doktora tezinin olduğu saptanmıştır. Yapılan lisansüstü tez çalışmalarda çoğunlukla; eser analizi, tarihsel ve yapısal analiz, klarnet eğitimi, üfleme/nefes vb. teknik analiz ve metot incelemesi konularının tercih edildiği görülmüştür. Son yıllarda yeni birçok üniversitenin kurulması ve lisansüstü eğitimin önem kazanmasıyla, enstitülerde müzik alanındaki lisansüstü programı sayılarının artmasıyla 2004-2019 yılları arasında yapılan çalışmaların sayılarının (n=64) olduğu bu yıllardan önce sadece (n=9) çalışma yapıldığı ve çalışmalarda büyük ölçüde nitel araştırma yönteminin kullanıldığı gibi sonuçlara ulaşılmıştır. Araştırma, klarnet alanında yapılacak yeni çalışmalar için konu seçimi ve literatür taraması aşamalarına kaynak oluşturması, alandaki çalışma sayılarının daha net görülmesi ve çalışmaların nitelikleri hakkında bilgi sahibi olunması ve eksik kalan noktalara dikkat çekerek tamamlanmasını sağlayacak olması acısından önem arz etmektedir.
Purpose of the study is to analyze postgraduate theses completed in the field of clarinet at professional music institutions of Turkey, by means of identifying their types, research fields, methods, years, and their distribution based on the institutes they were completed at. Within this context, a total of 74 postgraduate theses completed in 1993-2019 and registered in the database of Higher Education Council Thesis Documentation Center were analyzed. Data of the research were collected through document analysis method, and collected data were provided in tables upon conducting a frequency (f) and percentage (%) calculations. The study revealed that there are (n=59) master theses, (n=11) competency in art theses, and 4 doctoral theses completed in the field of clarinet. It was found that most of the master theses focused on piece analysis, historical and structural analysis, clarinet education, technical analysis such as breathing/blowing, and method analysis. It was also figured that; establishment of several universities, giving more importance to master education, and increasing the number of master programs offered at graduate schools in the field of music increased the number of studies conducted in 2004-2019 up to (n=64); whereas this number was only (n=9) in previous years, and the qualitative research is the most frequently used technique. The study is considered important for serving as a guideline in future studies in terms of subject selection and literature review, showing the number of studies in the field more clearly, giving information about their qualities, and pointing out the missing parts so that they can completed accordingly.
