Koronavirüs ailesinin yeni üyesi olan Covid-19, 11 Mart 2020 tarihinde pandemi olarak ilan edilmiştir. Covid-19, birçok hastalığa sebebiyet verip ölümle sonuçlandırabilmektedir. En yaygın semptomları ateş, kuru öksürük ve yorgunluktur. Damlacıklar yoluyla insandan insana bulaşabilmesi virüsün yayılımını kolaylaştıran etkenlerden biridir. Dünyanın çoğu yerinde görülen Covid-19’a karşı birçok ülke aşı üretim çalışmalarına başlamıştır. Ancak aşı bulunana kadar virüsün yayılımını azaltabilmek adına alınabilecek önlemlerden biri hijyen tedbirlerine dikkat etmektir. Araştırmanın amacı ergenlik döneminde olan gençlerin pandemi sırasında temizlik ve sağlığa verdikleri önemi saptamak ve hijyen farkındalık düzeyinin belirlenmesidir. Çalışmadaki bulgular online veri tabanlı anket formu ile toplanmıştır. Anket formu; katılımcıların demografik özellikleri dışında Covid-19 pandemisine karşı aldıkları önlemleri sorgulayan toplam 29 sorudan oluşmaktadır. Anket İstanbul ili, Üsküdar ilçesindeki liselerde okuyan 14-18 yaş aralığındaki lise düzeyindeki 484 öğrenciye uygulanmıştır. Elde edilen veriler ışığında lise düzeyinde okuyan ergenlik dönemindeki gençlerin %88,1’i koronavirüs hakkında yeterli bilgiye sahip olduğunu düşünmektedir. Ama sadece %36’sı salgın süresince dışarı çıkarken maske ve eldiven kullanmaktadır. Bu doğrultuda salgının yayılmasında taşıyıcı olarak rol alabilen ve nüfusun %7,61’ini oluşturan lise düzeyindeki öğrencilerin, koronavirüs hakkında daha detaylı bilinçlendirilmesi gerektiği, okullarda Covid-19 ile ilgili davranış eğitimi verilmesi ve 9. sınıfta görülen sağlık bilgisi dersi kapsamında “Covid 19 süresince uyulması gereken hijyen kuralları” konusuna değinilmesi gerektiği öngörüsüne varılmıştır.

Covid-19, new member of the Coronavirus family, was declared a pandemic on March 11, 2020. Covid-19 can cause many diseases and result in death.Its most common symptoms are fever, dry cough and fatigue.The ability to easily infect human-to- person through droplets is one of the factors that facilitates the spread of the virus.Many countries have started vaccine production against covid-19, which is seen in most parts of the world.However, one of the measures that can be taken to reduce the spread of the virus until the vaccine is found is to pay attention to hygiene measures.The aim of our research is to detect the importance of cleaning and health during the pandemic period of young people who are in adolescence and hygiene is determination of the level of awareness. The findings in the study was collected with an online data-based survey form. Survey form; The participants' demographic characteristics consist of a total of 29 questions questioning the measures they take against Covid-19 pandemics. The survey was applied to 484 students between the ages of 14-18 studying in high schools in Üsküdar district of Istanbul. In the findings, 88.1% of young people think they have sufficient knowledge of coronavirus. But only 36% use masks and gloves when they go out during the outbreak. Accordingly, high school-level students, who can play a role as carriers in the spread of the epidemic and make up 7.61% of the population, need to be more informed about coronavirus, conduct training on Covid-19 should be provided in schools and 9. within the scope of the health information lesson in the classroom, it is envisaged that “hygiene rules to be followed during Covid 19” should be addressed.
