Hikâye ve hikâye anlatımının teknolojik gelişmelerin ve reklam dünyasının öne çıkmasıyla önem kazandığı fark edilmiştir. Dijital çağ ve bilgi çağı olarak bilinen 21. yüzyılda bilginin daha çekici olması ve pazarlanmak istenen her şey için bir hikâye oluşturulduğu görülmektedir. Gelişen ve değişen bu dünyaya eğitim-öğretim ortamları da yabancı kalmamıştır. Öğretim programları başta olmak üzere eğitim sahalarında güncellemeler yapılmaktadır. Türkçe Dersi Öğretim Programında dikkat çeken değişimlerden biri de hikâye edici metin kavramı üzerinde durulmasıdır. Hikâyenin bu kadar öne çıktığı günümüzde alan yazında hikâye yazmaya yönelik bir tutum ölçeğinin olmadığı görülmüştür. Ortaokul öğrencilerinin hikâye yazmaya yönelik tutumlarını ölçen bir araca ihtiyaç olduğu düşünülmüştür. Buna bağlı olarak bu çalışmanın amacı, ortaokul 7. sınıf öğrencilerinin hikâye yazmaya yönelik tutumlarını değerlendirecek bir ölçek geliştirmektir. Çalışmaya 441 öğrenci katılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda, 6 boyutlu (ilgi, fayda, duygu, beğeni, süreç ve içerik), 24 maddelik ve 5’li Likert tipi hikâye yazmaya yönelik bir tutum ölçeği ortaya çıkmıştır. Açıklanan toplam varyans 57.151 olarak ve ölçeğin güvenirliği için iç tutarlılığa yönelik 24 maddenin tümüne ait Cronbach Alpha değeri .896 olarak bulunmuştur. Ölçek yapısının uyum indeksleri incelendiğinde χ²/df= 1.780, TLI= 0.932, CFI= 0.941, RMSEA= 0.042 ve SRMR= 0.041 değerlerinde uyum indekslerine sahip olduğu bulunmuştur. Yapılan açımlayıcı ve doğrulayıcı faktör analizleri sonucunda ortaokul öğrencilerinin hikâye yazmaya yönelik tutumlarını ölçen geçerli ve güvenilir bir ölçme aracı ortaya çıkmıştır.

It was realized that story and storytelling gained importance with the advancement technological developments and advertising world. Nowadays known as the digital age and information age, it is seen that a story is created for information to be more attractive and everything that is desired to be marketed. Education is not foreign to this developing and changing world. Updates are made in the educational fields, especially in the curriculum. One of the striking changes in the curriculum is the concept of narrative text. It is seen that there is no scale for writing story in the literature. A scale that measures the attitudes of secondary school students towards writing story is needed. The aim of this study is to develop a scale to evaluate the attitudes of secondary school 7th grade students towards writing story. 441students participated in the study. As a result of exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses, a valid and reliable measurement scale that measures the attitudes of secondary school students towards writing story has emerged. As a result of the research, a 5-point Likert-type scale consisting of 24 items and 6 factors of “Attitude Scale Towards Writing Story”, consisting of interest, benefit, emotion, appreciation, process and content has emerged. The total amount of variance explained 57.151. For the reliability of the scale, the Cronbach's Alpha value of all 24 items for internal consistency was found to be .896. When the fit indices of the scale structure were examined, χ²/df= 1.780, TLI= 0.932, CFI= 0.941, RMSEA= 0.042 ve SRMR= 0.041 were found to have compliance index.
