Bu araştırmanın amacı, müzik öğretimi bilimi ve sanatını sunacak etkili kişi olan müzik öğretmen adaylarının olumlu ve olumsuz etkileyen çalgı öğretmen niteliklerine yönelik görüşlerinin incelenmesidir. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu; 2017-2018 Bahar döneminde, Gazi Üniversitesi Müzik Eğitimi Anabilim Dalı’nda öğrenim gören 79 öğretmen adayı oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın örnekleme yöntemi amaçlı örnekleme yöntemlerinden kolay ulaşılabilir örnekleme olup, araştırmaya hız ve pratiklik katmak amacıyla seçilmiştir. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak, çalgı dersi alan müzik öğretmeni adaylarının çalgı öğretmenlerinin niteliklerine yönelik görüşleri ile ilgili veriler, yarı yapılandırılmış iki açık uçlu sorudan oluşan görüşme formu kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Bu kapsamda araştırmada, müzik öğretmeni adaylarının olumlu ve olumsuz çalgı öğretmeni niteliklerine ilişkin algılarının ortaya çıkarılması amaçladığından nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden olgu bilim kullanılmıştır. Görüşme sorularından elde edilen verilerin analizinde, içerik analizinden yararlanılmıştır. Bu bağlamda araştırmadan elde edilen bulgular, araştırma soruları ile ilgili olarak farklı kavramsal kategoride değerlendirilerek sonuçlar yorumlanmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda elde edilen bulgulara göre; müzik öğretmen adaylarının çalgı dersinde çağlı öğretmenine yönelik niteliklerinin mesleki bilgi yeterliliklerinin ve kişisel özelliklerinin önemli etkenler olduğu saptanmıştır. Müzik öğretmeni adaylarının görüşlerine göre, bu etkenlerin öğretmen adaylarının dersteki başarılarını artırıp ya da azalttığı yönünde etki ettiği belirlenmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda elde edilen sonuçların; müzik eğitiminin etkin bir şekilde gerçekleşmesinde çalgı eğitimi sürecinden geçen müzik öğretmeni adaylarının öğretmen niteliklerine ilişkin görüşlerinin önemli birer araştırma aracı olarak kullanabileceği düşünülmektedir.

The aim of this study is to evaluate the positive and negative effects of the musical teacher candidates who are influential in the science and art of music teaching on the qualities of the instrument teacher. The study group consists of 79 teachers who were educated in Gazi Üniversitesi Department of Music Education during the spring 2017-2018 period. The sampling method of the research is easily accessible from the intended sampling methods and was chosen to add speed and practicality to the research. As a data collection tool in the research, the data about the opinions of the music teacher candidates taking the instrument course towards the qualifications of the instrument teachers were collected using an interview form consisting of two semi-structured open-ended questions. In this context, case science, one of the qualitative research methods, was used in the research, as it aims to reveal the perceptions of music teacher candidates regarding positive and negative instrument teacher qualifications. Content analysis was used in the analysis of the data obtained from Interview Questions. In this context, the findings from the research were evaluated in different conceptual categories and the results were interpreted in relation to the research questions. The results of the research by; it has been determined that the qualifications of music teacher candidates for çağlı teacher in the instrument lesson, their professional knowledge competence and personal characteristics are important factors. According to the opinions of music teacher candidates, it was determined that these factors influence whether or not the teacher candidates increase or decrease their success in the course. As a result of research the results obtained; it is thought that music teacher candidates who are going through the instrument training process can use their views on teacher qualifications as an important research tool in the effective realization of music education.
