Bu çalışmanın amacı, sosyal hizmet örgün öğretim programlarında öğrenim gören öğrencilerin toplumsal cinsiyet rollerine ilişkin tutumlarını belirlemektir. Araştırmanın sorunsalı, sosyal hizmet öğrencilerinin toplumsal cinsiyet eşitliği tutumu ne yönde olduğudur. Nicel yöntem ile yapılan çalışmaya, Türkiye’de sosyal hizmet örgün lisans programlarında öğrenim gören öğrenciler katılmıştır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak anket kullanılmıştır. Anket araştırmacılar tarafından hazırlanan sosyo-demografik sorular ile Toplumsal Cinsiyet Rolleri Tutum Ölçeğinden oluşmaktadır. Çalışmaya katılan öğrencilerin %83,9’u kadın, %16,1’i erkektir. Öğrencilerin yaş ortalaması 21,475, aylık ortalama bireysel geliri 1155,781, genel not ortalamaları 76,55’dir. Öğrencilerin ölçeğe verdiği yanıtların ortalaması 160,87 bulunmuş ve bu değer öğrencilerin yüksek bir toplumsal cinsiyet eşitliği tutumuna sahip olduğunu göstermiştir. Öğrencilerin toplumsal cinsiyet rolleri tutum ölçeğinden aldıkları puanın cinsiyet bazlı dağılımı incelendiğinde, kadın öğrencilerin toplumsal cinsiyet rollerine yönelik tutumlarının erkeklere göre anlamlı derecede yüksek olduğu belirlenmiştir. Toplumsal cinsiyet rolleri tutum ölçeği puanlarının yaş grupları, sınıf düzeyi, gelir düzeyi bazlı dağılımı incelendiğinde, sınıf düzeyi hariç diğer değişkenlerin hiçbirinde istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir fark bulunamamıştır. Alt sınıflardan üst sınıflara doğru gidildikçe toplumsal cinsiyet eşitliği tutumu yükselmektedir. Toplumsal kültürün algılar üzerinde etkisi yüksek olmasına karşın üniversite öğrenimi, kişilerin toplumsal cinsiyet rollerine karşı daha eşitlikçi bir yaklaşım sağlaması önemli bir belirleyicidir. Araştırmanın sonuçları toplumsal cinsiyet temelli dersleri olan sosyal hizmet bölümünde öğrenim gören öğrencilerin toplumsal cinsiyet eşitliği tutumlarını ölçmek ve bunu ortaya çıkarmak açısından önemlidir.

The aim of this study is to determine the attitudes of students studying in social work formal education programs towards gender roles. The problem of the research is the social work students' attitudes towards gender equality. Students studying in social work formal undergraduate programs in Turkey participated in the study, which was conducted with the quantitative method. A questionnaire was used as a data collection tool in the research. The questionnaire consists of socio-demographic questions prepared by the researchers and the Gender Roles Attitude Scale (TCRT) developed by Zeyneloğlu and Terzioğlu (2011). 83.9% of the students participating in the study were female and 16.1% were male. The average age of the students is 21,475, their monthly average individual income is 1155,781, their overall grade point average is 76.55. The average of the answers given by the students to the scale was 160.87, and this value showed that the students had a high gender equality attitude. When the gender-based distribution of the students' scores from the gender role attitude scale was examined, it was determined that female students' attitudes towards gender roles were significantly higher than that of men. When the distribution of gender roles attitude scale scores based on age groups, class level, and income level was examined, no statistically significant difference was found in any of the other variables except class level. As one moves from the lower classes to the upper classes, the attitude towards gender equality increases. Although social culture has a high impact on perceptions, university education is an important determinant of providing a more egalitarian approach to people's gender roles. The results of the research are important in terms of measuring and revealing the gender equality attitudes of the students studying in the social work department, which has gender-based courses.
