Günümüzde, hizmet sektörünün işgücü piyasasındaki artan payı göz önüne alındığında duygusal emek kavramı önemi giderek artan bir olgu olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Eğitim sektöründe önemli bir yere sahiptir. Bu araştırmanın amacı; duygusal emek üzerine yapılan lisansüstü tezleri ile bilimsel makalelerin mevcut durumlarını ve genel profillerini belirlemektir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda YÖK Ulusal Tez Merkezinden ve ULAKBİM ile Dergipark veri tabanından elde edilen ‘Türkiye’de duygusal emek’ konusunda 2012-2019 yılları arasındaki lisansüstü tezler ile makalelerden oluşan toplam 34 çalışma, betimsel içerik analizi yöntemi ile yorumlanmıştır. Söz konusu çalışmalardan elde edilen veriler, durum ve profillere ilişkin genel eğilimleri görebilmek adına belirli koşullara göre sınıflandırılarak ele alınmıştır. Elde edilen verilerin analizinde SPSS paket programından yararlanılmıştır. Analizler sonucunda; Türk eğitim sektöründe 2012 yılından bu yana yürütülen duygusal emek konusundaki çalışmaların sayısında, 2015 yılı itibariyle gözle görülür bir artış dikkatleri çekmektedir. Araştırmalarda kullanılan örneklemin büyük çoğunluğunun öğretmenlerden oluştuğu ve ortalama örneklem büyüklüğünün ise 424 olduğu saptanmıştır. Ayrıca duygusal emek kavramı, çoğunlukla tükenmişlik ve iş doyumu-iş tatmini değişkenleri ile ele alınarak araştırılmıştır. Dikkat çeken artışa rağmen ülkemizde konuyla ilgili yeterli sayıda çalışmanın olduğunu ifade etmek oldukça güçtür. Bu çalışma ile Türkiye’de eğitim sektöründe duygusal emeğe atfedilen öneme dair genel durumun ortaya konması ve konuya ilişkin gelişmekte olan uluslararası literatüre Türkiye örneklemiyle katkıda bulunulacağı düşünülmektedir.

Today, Given the increasing share of the services sector in the labor market, the concept of emotional labor emerged as an ever-increasingly significant phenomenon. It has an important place in the education sector. The purpose of this study is to determine current situations and overall profiles of post-graduate theses and scientific articles on emotional labor. Following this purpose, A total of 34 reviews consisting of post-graduate theses and articles on Emotional Labor in Turkey between the years 2012-2019, had been obtained from the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) National Dissertation Center, ULAKBİM and Dergipark database, was interpreted by the content analysis method. To review general trends regarding situations and profiles, the data had been acquired from the studies in question were classified according to specific circumstances. SPSS statistical package program was used in the analysis of the obtained data. As a result of the investigation; As of 2015, there has been a noticeable increase in the number of studies on emotional labor in the Turkish education sector since 2012. Many types of sampling used in studies were determined to be composed of teachers, and the average sample size was 424. Besides, the concept of emotional labor has been investigated mostly together with the burnout and job satisfaction variables. Despite this notable increase, it is quite challenging to remark that there exists an adequate amount of studies related to the issue in our country. In this study, it is considered Turkish Education System in uncovering the overall situation of the importance attributed to emotional labor and to contribute to a constantly evolving international literature on the subject using the example of Turkey.
