The municipalities are institutional structures that provide solutions to the problems of citizens and provide citizen satisfaction within the framework of a democratic understanding. In this study, an applied research was carried out in Nigde city center to determine the level of citizens' satisfaction with municipal services. Within the scope of the research, a questionnaire was applied to 627 individuals and various data were obtained from 602 valid questionnaire forms. After the obtained data were transferred to the computers using SPSS 22.0 package program, various results were obtained by using frequency analysis, variance (ANOVA) analysis, t-test and Scheffe analysis methods. As far as Niğde Municipality is concerned, it is not possible to claim that the satisfaction results obtained in the research are very encouraging. This study aims to contribute Niğde Municipality regarding evaluating the services offered to the residents of Niğde. The results of the research study are expected to shed light on the future services of Niğde Municipality and to contribute to the contentment of the citizens through the improvement of services that are considered to be incomplete. Thus, by making profound and useful decisions along with the current situation analyses, it would be possible to increase the quality of living and services provided by the municipality. In today’s world where the importance of transparency and participation increases, if the municipal administrations manage to meet the public expectations, then the efficiency of the services, citizen satisfaction, and successful municipal management would be ensured. In addition, similar studies on this issue have been researched and some suggestions have been made to the services provided by Nigde Municipality according to the satisfaction of the citizens.},author={Taner DEMİRKOL-- Murat DİBEK},year={2019},journal={Turkish Studies-Economics,Finance,Politics}}
