Bu çalışma, 6 Şubat 2023 tarihinde meydana gelen depremler sonrasında Hatay ilinde yerel girişimcilik ekosisteminin geçirdiği dönüşümü analiz etmektedir. Afet sonrası girişimcilik literatürü çerçevesinde, yerel girişimcilerin karşılaştığı zorluklar, ortaya çıkan fırsatlar ve ekonomik toparlanma sürecinde girişimciliğin rolü incelenmektedir. Ayrıca, ulusal ve uluslararası kuruluşlar tarafından sağlanan desteklerin yerel girişimcilik ekosistemi üzerindeki etkileri sektörel bazda değerlendirilmektedir. Araştırma bulguları, deprem sonrası Hatay'da sektörel yapılanmanın değiştiğini, dijital dönüşümün hızlandığını ve sosyal girişimcilik faaliyetlerinin önem kazandığını göstermektedir. Çalışma sonucunda, afet sonrası girişimcilik ekosisteminin evrildiği ve değiştiği yönler gerek sektörel gerek coğrafik olarak ortaya koyulmuştur. Bu noktada yeni ekosistemin dinamiklerinin belirlenmesi ve güçlendirilmesi için kamu-özel sektör işbirliğinin artırılması, finansal desteklerin etki sonuçlarına göre genişletilmesi ve sivil toplum kapasite geliştirme programlarının yaygınlaştırılması önerilmektedir.
This study analyses the transformation of the local entrepreneurship ecosystem in Hatay province after the earthquakes that occurred on 6 February 2023. Within the framework of post-disaster entrepreneurship literature, the challenges faced by local entrepreneurs, emerging opportunities and the role of entrepreneurship in the economic recovery process are examined. In addition, the effects of the support provided by national and international organisations on the local entrepreneurship ecosystem are evaluated on a sectoral basis. Research findings show that sectoral structuring has changed, digital transformation has accelerated and social entrepreneurship activities have gained importance in Hatay after the earthquake. As a result of the study, the directions in which the post-disaster entrepreneurship ecosystem has evolved and changed have been revealed both sectorally and geographically. At this point, it is recommended that public-private sector cooperation should be increased, financial supports should be expanded according to the impact results and civil society capacity building programmes should be expanded in order to determine and strengthen the dynamics of the new ecosystem.
