İşsizlik bireysel, toplumsal ve küresel boyutta hem ekonomik hem de sosyal maliyetleri olan bir olgudur. İşsizlik, literatürde önemli bir inceleme alanına sahiptir. Çalışmada işsizlik konusunda lisansüstü tezler üzerine odaklanılmıştır. Lisansüstü tezlerin bibliyometrik olarak analiz edilmesi, ilgili bilim alanında iletişimin nasıl gerçekleştiğinin tespit edilmesini ve bilimsel eğilimin yönünün ortaya çıkartılmasını sağlamaktadır. Ayrıca ilgili alanın teorik açıdan gelişme sürecinin izlenmesi ile bilimin geleceğine yön verilmesi konusunda büyük önem arz etmektedir. Bu doğrultuda, çalışma kapsamında işsizlik konusunda yapılmış lisansüstü tez çalışmalarının belirli parametreler doğrultusunda bibliyometrik olarak değerlendirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Çalışmanın diğer bir amacı olarak ilgili konunun gelişim sürecini takip ederek genel eğilimlerin ortaya konulmasıdır. Çalışmada, YÖK Ulusal Tez Merkezi veri tabanında işsizlik ile ilişkili olan 337 lisansüstü tez incelenerek analiz edilmiştir. Bibliyometrik analiz kapsamında tezler, yazarların cinsiyetlerine, yayınlandığı yıllara, yayınlandıkları üniversitelere, hazırlandıkları enstitülere, anabilim dallarına, araştırma yöntemlerine, konularına, danışman unvanına, türüne, yazıldığı dillere, sayfa sayılarına, üniversite türüne, yayınlandıkları şehirlere ve ilişkili konularına göre ele alınmıştır. Lisansüstü tezlerle ilgili verilerin sıklık ve yüzde analizleri yapılarak tablolaştırılmıştır. Analizlerden elde edilen sonuçlar incelendiğinde, en çok tezin Türkçe dilinde yazıldığı, en fazla tezin 2019 yılında yazıldığı, yazarların cinsiyetine göre erkek araştırmacıların fazla olduğu, en fazla tezin İstanbul Üniversitesinde yayınlandığı, danışman unvanı açısından Prof.Dr. unvanlı danışmanların fazla olduğu, daha çoğunlukla yüksek lisans tez çalışmalarının yapıldığı, devlet üniversitelerinin fazla olduğu, çoğunlukla nitel araştırma yönteminin tercih edildiği, en çok tezin iktisat anabilim dalında yazıldığı ve işsizlik ile en fazla ilişkilendirilen konunun işsizlik sigortası olduğu sonuçları bulunmuştur. 

Unemployment is a phenomenon that has both economic and social costs on an individual, social and global scale. Unemployment has an important field of study in the literature. The study focuses on graduate theses on unemployment. Bibliometric analysis of postgraduate theses allows determining how communication takes place in the relevant field of science and to reveal the direction of the scientific trend. In addition, it is of great importance to monitor the process of theoretical development of the relevant field and to direct the future of science. Accordingly, within the scope of the study, it was aimed to evaluate the graduate thesis studies on unemployment bibliometrically in accordance with certain parameters. Another purpose of the study is to reveal the general trends by following the development process of the relevant topic. In the study, 337 graduate theses related to unemployment were examined and analyzed in the YÖK National Thesis Center database. The gender of the author of the thesis the scope of bibliometric analysis, which was published the year they were published, and they are prepared for the universities for all students, to the Department, research methods, issues, supervisor, title, type, written languages, page numbers, type of college, according to the cities in which they are published and their associated themes are discussed. The frequency and percentage analyses of the data related to the graduate theses were made and tabulated. When the results obtained from the analyses are examined, it is noted that the most theses are written in Turkish, the most theses were written in 2019, there are more male researchers according to the gender of the authors, the most theses were published at Istanbul University, in terms of the title of consultant Prof.dr. more of an advisor is entitled, where her thesis work more often, more of the state universities, mostly in the qualitative research method is preferred where most of the thesis in the Department of Economics was written by and subject to unemployment insurance unemployment that is associated with outcomes.
