AN INVESTIGATION OF TEACHERS 'ATTITUDES OF EDUCATIONAL INFORMATICS NETWORK (EBA)


Educational Informatics Network (EBA) is an online social education platform developed by Republic of Turkey Ministry of National Education's Directorate General of Innovation and Educational Technologies, free of charge for students and teachers. This platform contains various educational content such as courses, content, contests, applications, various educational files, e-course opportunities, and different kinds of information sources such as text, pictures, audio and video. Its main function is to enable teachers and students to interact using technology. EBA is used by primary and secondary school students significantly. This system is used by 10 million primary and secondary school students in the education and training process. In this study, it was aimed to examine the attitudes of teachers towards using EBA in terms of factors such as age, gender, educational background and year of service. In this study, the survey model of the quantitative research method was used. The data were collected with a questionnaire from teachers who were employed in different branches in public schools in Tokat city center through convenience sampling method. 54 of the teachers who participated in the study were female and 116 were male. The gender ratio is 34% to 66%. EBA Attitude Scale was used to obtain the data of the study. Chi-square technique was used for data analysis. Teachers' attitudes towards EBA were evaluated in terms of gender, age, educational background and professional experience in the study. At the end of the study, the following conclusions were reached: teachers' attitudes towards the Educational Informatics Network (EBA) were moderate and positive. There was no significant difference between teachers' age, gender, educational background and year of service variables and EBA attitudes.
