VALUE NEEDS ANALYSIS AND PROFESSIONAL ORIENTATION OF IMAM HATIP HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS


Imam-Hatip High Schools have been included in the Turkish National Education System since its establishment. As part of the system, elective course system, course passing system, classroom passing system, etc. can adapt to all applications in general secondary education continues to education as secondary education institutions. The students who grow up here will be people who are in front of the society due to their profession. Therefore, they set an example with their personalities. It is important for the research to get the information about the values and skills that should be present in the students of Imam Hatip High School or what is missing in the students, their opinions about the professional orientation of the students and the feedback from the teachers of those students. What are the values and skills that Imam Hatip High School students should have in the research? Which profession should Imam Hatip High School students direct? questions were searched within the framework of the opinions of teachers in various branches of the Imam Hatip High School. The population of the research is the teachers who work in Imam Hatip High Schools in Osmaniye and 112 teachers in four different branches in the center constitute the sample of the research. Probability- based group (cluster) sampling was used to determine the sample. As a result, the concepts of love of homeland, family, society, and justice and honesty have come to the forefront in the value / skill rankings that are thought to be missing or should be found. In terms of professional orientation, teachers mostly stated that they wanted to see students in every field.
