THE EFFECT OF GLOBALIZATION ON THE FORMATION OF CULTURE


The globalization process has brought many discussions. One of these discussions is about culture. Culture surrounds our social life as a social phenomenon. In terms of universal humanity or state-building nations, culture can be tackled. The reality of culture is different from nature. Culture has a uniqueness reality. Many sources have been effective in shaping this reality. In this article, discussions on the impact of globalization on culture are discussed. Globalization is connected to modernization as a social process. Modernization has created a very strong and hard transformation based in Europe. Modernization tended to dissolve and differentiate differences as a social formulation project. In this respect, it is necessary to know the experience of modernization in understanding the globalization process. Globalization claims to make the world a global village. One of the claims of globalization is that it removes the boundaries between societies and that all societies resemble each other and that there is no difference between them. Therefore, it is predicted that it will make culture uniform. The question is really one of the main problems that this article questions. Is globalization taking the world into a uniform and homogenous culture in an imperative? Will cultures of different nations and civilizations be doomed to disappear in this process? The matter is discussed through these questions.
