THE EFFECT OF PILATE EXERCISES ON QUALITY OF LIFE IN SEDENTARY FEMALES


The aim of this study is to determine the age status, marital status, working status and quality of life scores of Female who perform Pilates. A total of 216 Female who performed Pilates were administered the Quality of Life Scale. T test, one-way analysis of variance and LSD tests were used for statistical operations. According to age groups, while the sub-scale environmental area scores of the females who made Pilates were around 26, their social field scores were around 10. Again, in terms of the quality of life of Females, the environmental area score was found to be 25 points and the social score was 10 points. The physical and mental health scores of the Female aged 18-30 were significantly higher than those between the ages of 31-45 (p <0.001). Again, those who are married or divorced with there is a difference in terms of employees who do not work (p <0.001). There was no statistically significant difference between the social field and environmental field scores (p> 0.05). Those who stated their health as very good and those who were satisfied with their quality of life were significantly higher their physical and mental scores (p <0.05 and p <0.001). There was no significant difference between the social group and the environmental area between the group which stated their health as very good and the other groups (p>0, 05). On the other hand, there were significant differences in terms of Satisfaction with the quality of life (p <0.05 and p <0.001). Conclusion: In Female making Perform Pilates exercises, we can say that young, married and employees have better physical and mental situation. In addition, those who see their health as very good and those who are satisfied with their quality of life have higher physical and mental health scores. Sedentary Female are advised to take advantage of Pilate’s exercises organized by age groups.
