The purpose of this study is to examine whether sport habits of handicapped individuals and their handicaps have an effect on their entrepreneurship levels. This study plain to reveal the entrepreneurship potential of individuals with special needs. 240 individuals, half of whom are female, with special needs were included in this study in 2015. A total of 120 individuals, with physical, visual and hearing impairments who perform sports in different clubs or associations in different provinces of Turkey were recruited in this study. A total of 120 volunteer individuals with physical, visual and hearing impairments who don’t participate in any sport activities were employed as a control group in the study. The relational screening research method with descriptive statistics was adopted in this study. Survey technique was employed to obtain data. The data were collected through interviews by the researcher. Participants were surveyed through a demographic questionnaire developed by the researcher and Kauffman Entrepreneurship Fast Track Character Survey, including 17 questions was employed. In this present study, which recruited a total of 240 individuals with physical, visual and hearing impairments between 18-45 age were found to be potential entrepreneurs with 93% percentage given all handicapped groups are considered as entrepreneurs or potential entrepreneurs. Data analysis revealed that individuals with visual impairments had higher means in entrepreneurship level when compared to the others. Additionally, it was found that individuals are more willing to set up their own business and to display entrepreneurship behaviors as their income levels increase. According to the findings of the study, it was found that individuals with special needs displayed entrepreneurship behaviors at higher levels. Educational background, economic conditions and sport habits were found to be effective in this potential. On the other hand, it was obtained that they don’t have sufficient supports and don’t know how they can display entrepreneurship behaviors.
