Balance of power as a structure of an international system manifested its nature further about interstate politics throughout the Crimean War. The goal of this article is to reveal the limitations of the balance of power in terms of geographical, sociological and historical landscape. The article demonstrates how the balance of power became a commonplace reference for major powers between 1700 and 1856.
