Concubine in Üsküdar in the First Quarter of the 17th Century

In the first quarter of the 17th century, Üsküdar was an accident center affiliated to the Sanjak of Kocaeli as an administrative unit, and it has a central position as it is neighbor in the payitah and represents one of the three great courts of its era - Galata-Eyüp-Üsküdar. In addition, the Ottoman period Üsküdar has its own specific political, social and economic characteristics. These features created an element of curiosity about the examination of the heading of “ignorant” in Üsküdar in the first quarter of the 17th century, which constitutes the study area of the study. What kind of life do people live in the Ottoman Üsküdar within the specified timeframe, the responsibility of being a woman and a guardian at the same time, determining their position in the society, the places they acquire or try to acquire (social-legal and economic) and their efforts for this purpose. In general, it was the core of the research. Üsküdar sher’iyye registries have been used because they are the first-hand sources in lighting the subject. Uskudar Shari'a courts were purchased from Turkey Religious Foundation. There are 48 books belonging to the Üsküdar court within the said period. However, not all of the 48 notebooks were utilized and the provisions related to the subject were selected and selected according to their interest under the titles. While planning the structuring of the article, it was tried to give direction to the titles by considering the guidance and richness of the provisions. As this sentence, the article has progressed under four headings and it has been evaluated under this heading how Üsküdar court records have been freed in terms of the removal of the warlords in the light of the rich data presented, whether there was a procedure followed while it was being freed. In another topic, the deserted cryos were taken into consideration, and here the answers were sought to answer the questions of the nations' nationalities, why they tried to escape, what procedures were applied when they were caught, and whether they were subject to any punishment. Since the registers did not provide clear information about why the cryogs escaped under this heading, this gap was tried to be interpreted based on several provisions. Another issue is nations for sale. It was tried to answer the questions of the prices of purchase and sale of the mosques, how these prices vary, whether they were sold by the state or private individuals, whether only the mosques were sold or if their children were sold together. Finally, due to their social status, the positions of the custodians, their place in the society, what their personal rights are, whether they have legal rights, marriage with their masters and why these marriages have been the subject of the examination. All aspects of trying to find answers to all these questions and trying to live in a community in the mosque have been tried to be revealed.
