THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS’ USE OF UNIVERSAL VALUES IN SCHOOL MANAGEMENT AND TEACHERS’ ORGANIZATIONAL TRUST LEVELS ABSTRACT


This research aims to explore the relationship between school administrators’ use of universal values in school management and teachers’ organizational trust levels. The research has a relational survey model. The population of the research consists of secondary school teachers working at state school located within Onikişubat and Dulkadiroğlu districts in Kahramanmaraş. The research sample holds a total of 231 secondary school teachers who have been selected through random sampling method. In the research, "Organizational Trust Scale in Schools" developed by Yılmaz (2005) and "Universal Values Scale in School Management" developed by Sağır (2014) were used. Data collection tools have been applied to the teachers and then the data have been transferred to the computer environment in order to make statistical analyzes. Independent groups t-test, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), LSD significance test, Pearson correlation analysis and regression analysis have been used during data analysis. Based on the findings obtained from the application of universal values of school administrators, it is understood that the level of school administrators to apply universal values in school management is above the middle level. In addition, it was found that the organizational trust level of the teachers whose opinions were consulted was high. As a result of the research, it was found that the relationship between school administrators 'application of universal values in school management and teachers' organizational trust levels is very high. According to this; it can be said that as the level of application of universal values of school administrators increases, teachers' perceptions of organizational trust will increase, and as teachers' level of application of universal values decreases, teachers' perceptions of organizational trust will decrease.
