THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN PRESCHOOL TEACHER CANDIDATES' ATTITUDES TOWARDS CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT AND CREATIVE DRAMA


The majority of behaviors that children gain in pre-school education form the basis of adulthood. During this period, the child carefully observes and imitates family members. It was seen that the students of the teachers who used effective and efficient classroom management methods to their students in the classroom were more adaptable and successful and their self-esteem levels were higher From this point of view, the relationship between the attitudes of preschool teacher candidates who have just received undergraduate education towards classroom management and their attitudes towards drama method is worth investigating. In this study, it was aimed to examine the relationship between classroom management beliefs and attitudes of preschool teacher candidates and their attitudes towards creative drama course in terms of various variables. There search constitutes 200 teacher candidates, studying in the Department of Preschool Education in the Basic Education Department at Uludağ University Faculty of Education. Attitude Scale Related to Lessons in Creative Drama (Drama in Pre-School and Primary School) developed by Adıgüzel (2007) and Belief and Attitude Scale on Classroom Management developed by Martin, Yinand Baldwin (1998). The data were analyzed in the SPSS-18 package program. According to the results of the study, it was determined that pre- school teacher candidates 'beliefs and attitudes of classroom management were a significant predictor of teacher candidates' attitudes towards creative drama.
