ANALYZING HÜSNÜ AŞK IN TERMS OF VALUES EDUCATION


The aim of this study is to analyze Hüsnü Aşk according to the values determined by the Ministry of National Education. A case study of qualitative research methods was used. Related statements and related values such as love, beauty, propriety, perseverance and determination, patience, faith, self sacrifice, morality, commitment to customs and traditions, respect and reverence, family love, being hopefull, sense of belongings, commitment to past, contemplation, forgiveness, nobility, owning and being embraced, pacifism etc.determined were found out in the book. Then these statements were interpreted and given under the title of the relevant value. When the findings has been examined, it has been seen that the value given the most place in Hüsnü Aşk, is the value of love. Since the work has a rich content in terms of values, it is recommended to use it as a reading material in order to gain value for children. It is suggested that the work should be turned into a fairy tale by simplifying the secondary school level and given as a reading text in Turkish textbooks. In this context, the importance of working in terms of teaching classical literature to the new generation is of great importance.
